Granny's Tamales Too

These tamales are the best I have ever had. They taste best dipped in green salsa. The people are always very kind and the restaurant is very clean.

Tamales, asked for pork, got beef. No flavor. There is a hole in the wall in Arkansas that can show her how to make really good Tamales with flavor. Very disappointing.

My dream came true! I was hungry, sitting by the pool, when I heard a voice calling, "Tamales!" A tamale truck drove through our village! We called him over and bought two dozen fresh tamales, spicy pork and brisket. The "spicy" (thankfully) was not spicy at all, which I thought was great because those who like it hot can add their own hot sauce which makes these great for sharing with friends. The masa was moist with a wonderful texture (I hate a dry masa!) and the filling was proportional. Tamales overall were flavorful with a decent size. 3-4 tamales with salsa and avocado made a superb breakfast. We bought two dozen for four people and have enough left for lunch! Get yo' tamales today!

Rosemary Gonzalez Benavides, owner of Granny's Hot Tamales in Ingleside and Corpus Christi, TX were out today, donating hundreds of tamales to hungry Hurricane Harvey victims. They are a local business that have been around the Corpus Christi area since 1999 and have done plenty of charity work over the years. The Houston/Humble location did the same thing in Beaumont, TX during Hurricane Rita. The Granny's Hot Tamales family makes me so proud that it's overwhelming. Here she is giving another free dozen of tamales to a service member in Corpus Christi, TX that was there to help with the damage of Hurricane Harvey. He went to buy a dozen because he was hungry and he got blessed with a dozen instead. WAY TO GO GRANNY'S HOT TAMALES!

(T R A S H) do Not recommend. Salsas are frozen NOT FRESH ! Both 2 chicken dozen of "fresh tamales " VERY DISAPPOINTED won't be ever going back . When sold they didn't even have enough green salsa available. Coming from a tamale lover these weren't tamales the taste was not delightful. NEXT .....

I was skeptical when the tamale van pulled up to our rental beach house, but I was in desperate need of some spicy deliciousness. I bought a dozen spicy pork tamales, jar of salsa, and a bag of tortilla chips. Let me tell you, the tamales were some of the best I'd ever tasted. The pork was properly seasoned, masa perfect, and while the tamale size was on the smaller side, the price was just right - $11 for a dozen, $7 for the jar of homemade salsa (spicy), and $4 for the tortilla chips. I hope to see granny's tamales roll through here again soon.

Very disappointed, the meat had the consistency of chopped liver, it was so mushy, and it apeared to me like they were not greatfull with the fillings, the flavor, well, not the best. The masa was okay. Didn't bother taking a picture of their's. But didI includ a picture of what I think a good tamal should be like. Thank you for reading.

Delicious tamales and love there roasted pepper hot sauce. Going to order some for Christmas

I'd leave zero star if I could. They made an error and charged me $158.00 instead of $15.80 on my credit card for a dozen tamales. I made numerous attempts with my credit card company and Granny's over the last few months. Granny's said they remembered me and to come back when the owner returns from her cruise. When I came back I was informed they were NOT going to credit me because it had been too long. This is theft.
