We ran into Granny's Tamales at a farmers market in Sugarland and loved them. They started in Corpus so we had to pick some up for our kids and us....we got them hooked....love the filling to masa ratio. I would have said meat to masa before this visit but I tried the the cream cheese and jalapeno so now it's filling, these were very good. We got some pork and beef, amazing. They make their tamales a little skinnier than most but that doesn't matter to us 'cause they nail the ratio thing. If we wanted lots of masa we'd go to the California tamale place. Nope. We'll be back for more Granny's......now all I have to do is refrain from eating too many at one time, wish me luck.

Tried Granny's for the first time today. I bought chicken, chicken jalepeno, spinach, pork (mild), and pork (hot/soicy), and pan de polvo for my family. I normally frequent another establishment in the city. The tamales were good. My favorite were actually the spinach! All of them had great flavor. The pan de polvo were pretty good as well. I would definitely go back, especially for the spinach! There was a short wait. They take credit cards if you do not have cash. The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating was because the man behind the counter was rude. Especially after being very friendly to the man in front of me....

Cream cheese jalapeño with chicken tamales. Very tasty! Easy in and out. Reasonable pricing. No issues. I'll definitely give them more business until I find a better tamale that is closer to home. Worth the time to curb the craving.

Jalapeño chicken, spicy pork, brisket, all of the tamales are excellent! For those rebellious lactose intolerant people, the jalapeño chicken and cream cheese tamales are not one of those things you can just shrug and eat anyways! You've been warned.

The tamales were very delicious and fresh. I tried the beam and regular tamales. Both were a decent size. I found that the regular tamales (beef and pork) were not greasy at all. I highly recommend Granny's tamales for any occasion.

We got a dozen bean and cheese tamales (for meatless friday observation) and we thought they were really good. I can't speak of the regular tamales as of yet, but based on the bean and cheese dozen we got, we'll be back to try those soon enough.

Tamales taste amazing. Delivery is great. Call ahead if you want something specific. They may not always have your favorite on hand otherwise. They always have great stuff there.

My family didn't make it to San Antonio this year, so we tried Granny's. The store did not appear as clean as other places, not as tasty and more expensive @ $15/dz.

We love the vegetarian spinach/cream cheese and the jalapeno/cream cheese tamales. I buy a dozen of each, put them four to a freezer bag to use over time since I use them to serve the two of us. I like to put on different toppings, my vegan 15 bean chili and Granny's salsa as well as avocado/cilantro salsa found at the Farmers' Market. I serve them with beans and rice, with a vegetable or just tamales by themselves. They are well made and perfectly seasoned, as well as not dripping in fat the way some tamales are. I've bought them for years and will continue to buy them.
