Grandview Lounge

My husband and I love this bar! I use to come all of the time and Nicholas always gave my family and I the best service. I was sad to know he was no longer there but the bartender last night was very sweet and did a great job. The only thing that was disappointing was the smell of the bar. It kind of smelt like sewer. We had a great time otherwise but only stayed for one drink and wanted to go. We live in San Antonio but the view is always worth the drive and we'll definitely be back our next trip.

Highly recommend for Beautiful views of Corpus Christi Bay from 11th floor of Best Western. Full bar and lounge area has nice comfortable seats.

We were staying at the hotel, and our mini vacation/anniversary trip had a few bumps (popped tire, cracked windshield, loud party in the room next to us, so no sleep), so this was our go to spot on Friday and Saturday night. The drink prices were high, but no more than at any hotel bar, plus, if you stay at the hotel, you don't have to drive home!The bartenders were fantastic! I wish I had gotten the girl's name as she was awesome. Sweet, funny, and really awesome. She took great care of us Friday night, and then again Saturday night with another gentleman.They played Sinatra and some jazzy, loungey songs when we were there, until later Saturday night, as they were getting ready for a large birthday group and the DJ started playing more of the newer dance songs. I enjoyed both, but a couple that was a little older left Saturday night when the DJ started.I just had beer Friday night, but Saturday I wanted something else, and asked the bartender for a recommendation and she asked what I was in the mood for, and then made me a Blue Hawaiian with blue curacao, rum and pineapple juice. It was perfect, strong, and so freaking good! Like I could keep drinking these, and get in big trouble because they don't taste alcoholic until it hits you! Hubby had beer Friday and a jack and coke Saturday; he was it was good, but definitely strong. Thanks for not skimping guys!!It wasn't busy, but we came kinda early. Not sure if it gets busy later, or that we were just there in the slower season. There were great views, and comfy chairs and couches spread out and wasa really nice place to just chill and relax. But if we stayed at the hotel again, we would for sure come here! What a hidden gem!

There's a purity to the Grandview Lounge. Nestled up on the 11th (top) floor of the Best Western on Shoreline Boulevard, you'd be forgiven for driving past it for years and not even knowing it existed. Indeed, that was the popular sentiment when we gathered there recently for a reunion.When you get inside, it's relatively unassuming. Large open space, white furniture reminiscent of a Miami South Beach club, and a long bar. Simple. No kitchen, no stage, just the basics. But it's all framed by a 180 degree view of the bay which, at sunset on a clear day, is spectacular. And what they do, they do well.The drinks are reasonably priced, they have a solid happy hour, and they do it all with a great attitude and a smile. Our bartender Cynthia busted her hump taking care of the 30 or so in our group who took the place over on a Saturday night, and she made us feel right at home.Let's be clear, the Grandview isn't a "hot spot." You're not going here to party (unless you're bringing the party with you). But if you want a fabulous place for a drink, with a great view, and some good conversation, you couldn't go wrong. We'll definitely be back.

Man I love this place!!! I've stayed in the hotel many times and it is killer in my book.

I was in town with my wife for the weekend and this place was in my agenda to visit based on the reviews. Well, it went above and beyond what I expected. The music is not loud and in good taste which helps for a relaxing time with a drink and the views. The bartender was amazing even though she was working alone. Seating is super comfy and the overall experience was amazing!!!

Definitely nicer than I expected. Fantastic view. Even better prices. Super attentive staff. Didn't expect this from a bar on the 11th floor of a Best Western.

A friend recommended this bar as a "hidden gem" and he was sooo right about it. It has a nice, unpretentious atmosphere, and an amazing view of the bay. I was there for a big group get-together and the staff took great care of us. It would also be a perfect place for a private, romantic date.

Most beautiful view from this lounge and great drinks. Pleasant relaxing atmosphere and the bartender can make a great variety of drinks. I highly recommend this place if you staying here.

The bartender was very rude bounced from customer to customer it took 15 min to get a drink and there was only 15 other people in the bar no pleased with the service at all
