Grand Buffet

This is one of my son's favorite place to eat Chinese. It is a buffet. There are several types of Chinese, and American foods. Sushi, soup, and desserts. There isn't a real atmosphere it's a buffet. The staff is quick to make sure your old plates are taken away and will constantly fill up your drinks. The food is somewhat fresh depending on the time but it is still good. I am not saying it's superior to other well known Chinese buffets but it is ok. The only complaint is the price has gotten a little steep for the restaurant but hey it's the world we are in now.

I just came to Wharton for work. Stop by this buffet. It is very typical Chinese Buffet like most Chinese Buffet. They have small selection of foods, but the foods are tasty. Come on, it's only $10 for dinner. You don't expect a large variety of foods when it's only $10. If you spend $10 at fast food restaurant, you might end up a double burger plus the drink. The owner is nice. I would highly recommend anyone want to eat here.

Do you feel lucky? Well, do you? That's how I feel every time I come here. I've been here twice this week, because I've had mad cravings for Chinese food.My first trip back on Monday was just not good. The chicken that's normally used for the sweet-and-sour chicken was room temperature. I wish I was exaggerating. The batter was still a little bit raw and doughy but the chicken was done. It was just bad. Room temperature food absolutely breaks all the rules of a restaurant. It can be dangerous. The green beans were raw. I don't mean Al dente , with a tad bit of a crisp, no, they were still raw. The roll was good, the fish was good, the rice didn't have any flavor. The best part of my visit was the steaming hot sweet and sour sauce. Is that sad?I came back yesterday and the green beans were cooked better. The skillet chicken was good, The chicken on a stick was good, but it was not very hot. I didn't even try the sweet-and-sour chicken again. The rice was still flavorless. I love Chinese food, but so many places just don't have it at the standard it should be.It IS possible to have a buffet that complies with proper holding temperatures. Come on, folks, that should be your first priority.

This was the 1st time we have ate here. There was a wide variety of Chinese food as well as American food items and they even offer sushi! Overall, the food was pretty good, I particularly liked the hot and sour soup. The food wasn't very fresh, but with the hot trays at the buffet we kind of knew that's what to expect. They had a nice fresh fruit bar with my kids really liked. We spent about $30 to feed my family of 4, so overall it was a good experience. We will return again.

The food had no taste. I ordered the house special no taste at all. The young cashier was not friendly not say that you for your business so I give one star.

Horrible quality food and so overpriced will never go or even think about spending a dollar there almost 70$ for 4 NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

I'll give a good word on the staff because they are nice, but I've been going there for years and just maybe a month ago I found mold on one of the coffee cakes my cousin brought home in a to go container.So yes the food is good but make sure you check to make sure there is no mold on the food!!!

Always good food and service. If you go in within the last hour before closing they will be out of some stuff or it won't be super fresh. But any other time it is great!

Simply stated, the food will make a turd, but it ain't 3 stars. Dessert tasted like a used sponge, sushi was suspect, and the egg rolls required an industrial cutting torch. But on a positive note... The steamed rice was ok.

I ordered shrimp fried rice and 4 egg rolls to go. The shrimp fried rice was not fresh, nor did it have good flavor. I will not be going back. I placed an order because the buffet food was skimpy. The egg roll looked like a spring roll. The wrapping was normal but nothing was on the inside of the wrapping. I paid $12. I will not be anal and cause a rift behind it. I just won't be going back.
