Golden Phoenix Chinese Restaurant

First thing I noticed was the health dept rating of B. I don't think I've ever eaten at as B restaurant before this. We continued in. Nice buffet setup. Good choices. Tasted good HOWEVER everything we tried was cold. Won't go again. Service was good enough.

Gem of a buffet in the shopping center. Good variety, everything was tasty and fresh. Service was great, my drink was never empty. Will be back when passing through El Campo.

Every time worse than earlier. we have tried this place some3 or 4 times over the past decade.Extensive buffet choices, none worth eating.No beer or bar.Just don't go there !

You wanna know why this place is worthy of 5 stars to me? Bc I knew what to freakin expect when I walked in there, unlike you negative Nancy's who are somehow expecting an $8 strip-mall buffet to result in a culinary masterpiece. You can't even eat at Whataburger for $8 anymore. Anyway, this Chinese buffet actually is very good. The food all has flavor instead of everything being bland like at most buffets. The egg rolls and Rangoon's were awesome. Everything I tried was good! Pleasantly surprised.

Daily lunch buffet that never changes so you get tired of going there after a couple of trips. The food is fresh most of the time and if what's on the buffet isn't, then tell someone and they'll change it out.Decent food, flavorful and it's all you can eat on the buffet.Take out is fantastic though; huge portions of very well seasoned Chinese food.

Don't eat here! Their kitchen is ALWAYS DIRTY. Got sick last two times I ate there. First time I thought it was just a bug going around. The second time I knew it was from the food. Oh It looks good but don't eat it. I know some people that ate there and nothing happened and others who got sick too. No stars from me.

My husband and I met our son here for lunch. This is the BEST Chinese food we have ever had! Egg rolls were hot and fresh, general joe's chicken and chicken teriyaki was amazing!! The service was great and the restaurant was clean. Atmosphere was very comforting and nice. We will make appoint of stopping here everytime we go through El Campo!!!

surprisingly i have never gotten sick from their food before but this last time i went had me disgusted. i was eating all my food and felt sick to my stomach the whole time then i took a bite of my chicken and looked down and noticed a bug inside of it. i was so disgusted. eat here at your own risk.

The people are always so nice here!! The food is good and the decor isn't hard to look at. It's pretty good all around (oh and they give free calendars)
