Needed a battery replacement in my hubby's watch. Quick, friendly, and efficient service. Will definitely be back.

I was visiting family in Corpus Christi and needed to get a few links taken out of two watches and a battery replaced. I live in Austin (where apparently to get links taken out it costs $25).. but I knew that Corpus had to have a cheaper alternative.I called a few in Corpus and there was nothing less than $15, and I decided to try the Portland's Gold Falcon jeweler just to see. And sure enough, $5 to take out links! **Whew** there is someone still sane in the world. I hurried over there and gave them two watches to remove links from (which they did perfectly and were ever so nice about) and I also wanted to get a battery replaced ($10) in a Seiko. The lady at the counter handed me a $5 off coupon to use on the battery replacement. We joked about how ridiculous $25 to remove links is as it takes little to no effort.After tirelessly trying my old Seiko, they couldn't remove the back of the watch, it's apparently a very tricky one. (does not have a lip on the back to easily pry it open).. It would need to be sent off. I didn't care that much or have time to wait on it, so I said forget it. In the process they accidentally scratched the back of the watch (which is no big deal to me at all..) but they felt so bad about it they only charged me for one link replacement.THAT is customer service if you ask me. It's tough to get people to go the extra mile and these folks truly did. I paid $5 to get two watches resized, where that would have cost me $50 in Austin. They also have an INCREDIBLE wedding jewelry selection and watches for sale. I was so so pleased, and I mentioned to the woman I would leave a good review online for them, and she sweetly replied "I didn't even know you could do that!"Needless to say, it's worth the few minute drive from CC to Portland to work with these folks.

Today, I had the pleasure of stopping by Gold Falcon Custom Jewelers and I will definitely be back! After trying to find someone to do a repair while I wait, I had given up because the first attempt in Corpus was a bust. I know, I know, there are tons of other places I could have tried there in Corpus. But something about the Jewelers response about doing my repair put me on edge with worry. On the way home, I pulled over and did a search and found we have a spot here in my community! Gold Falcon Custom Jewelers not only did the repair, they did it while I was there and only after they told me what the plan was. No surprise/hidden fees. $20 later, my piece looks beautiful as the day I got it. And did I mention the stellar customer service?! Mr. Steed and his staff were amazing! Very friendly, professional and welcoming! Oh, and y'allllll, the pieces of jewelry he has in store are ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! From necklaces to bracelets, watches to rings and everything else in between will give you something for everyone in your family, for every occasion! This is the only place my wife will trust with her jewelry to be repaired! The service is top-notch and the employees are friendly and helpful. Would recommend them over anyone else in the area.

They have worked on several of my watches. Always prompt and pricing was fair. I will always drive to the Portland store for any watch or jewelry repairs.

My husband bought me a gold wedding band for my birthday with the understanding with the Owner that it was too big and we would come back and get what I like. When we went back the next day they did not have what I was looking for. He wanted us to order out of a catalog. I did not want to do that because I wanted to try on the rings to see how it looked with my engagement ring. We asked for our money back and he said he does not give refunds. My husband said he would just contest the purchase on our credit card then. He said it states on the receipt that they do not give refunds. My husband then informed him he didn't give him a receipt. The Owner then went and found the receipt in a drawer and handed it to him. He seemed very mad and starting slamming things around. He said I am going to refund your money but I don't want to do this. He then said again, I don't want to do this, how can I make money if I do this? My husband said I thought you would want repeat business. He said yes , but how can I make money if I give it back. When my husband signed the return slip the Owner put it in a drawer. My husband asked for a copy and he got angry again. We did get a copy. We will not ever go back to that store. Beware, he does not give refunds and there still may not be a sign that says this. Even if he gave my husband his receipt when he bought the ring he wouldn't have known about the no refund policy until after the purchase.So after months they comment on this review. As stated, my husband did not receive a copy of the receipt. The Owner put it in a drawer, where he found it the next day when we asked for the refund after realizing they did not carry in their store what I wanted. He was not at all friendly. Maybe they are friendly to their loyal customers but not to those they cannot help. This was their mistake. There was no sign about not giving refunds and my husband did not get a receipt, the Owner put it in a drawer so how were we supposed to know? I would think more of them and overlook their mistake if they could admit they made one. Instead they try to make it look like it is our mistake. Their reply to this review just reinforces what I thought about them when this happened. Beware..

Today my boyfriend and I went in to get our rings re-sized, and the service was excellent. We went in and were automatically helped, the man helping us quickly determined what the best ring size would be and was extremely friendly. The price was fair (fairly cheap compared to other places we have checked) as it is $18 per sizing a ring. Fair prices and friendly service!

sold a watch with battery that had sprayed acid and wouldn't make good - lied and said that the crystal has a bevel that caused it to appear darker and then on 2nd visit to try to get fixed, stated that the bulova watch will sometimes have residue under the crystal - they cleaned the crystal and called it good - two other jewelers stated needed to get watch checked and probable battery acid got into crystal and it could corrode parts to watch - dealing with bulova now
