Gillett General Store & Cafe

Stopped by this place passing through on the highway. Food and service were great at the restaurant

Great Cafe inside the general store. We ordered burgers (avocado, jalapeño & green Chile), a sandwich, 2 salads, fajita tacos- they were all very good. Definitely recommend this out of the way cafe that isn't even listed as a restaurant.

Gillett Cafe Menu Had the meatloaf lunch special. Big portion and tasted great! Sweet tea had a funky taste...maybe old.

They are located out in the middle of nowhere, where two roads cross but down the road a piece from larger towns. We stopped thinking that we would grab a bag of chips and a soda. Walked inside and the "convenience store" is very limited but fits your needs, ie. soda, chips, bathrooms, etc. Enter the backroom and you are in the café. They have specials but we ordered off the menu. The menu is small but if you think about it, humans, for lunch, normally order the same thing....hamburger....hotdog....tacos...etc. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED!! Hubs got the fajita tacos and I got the Patty Melt. The tacos were loaded and my patty melt was hot and delicious. Because the place is small but accommodating, the employees were engaging, friendly, and made sure the customers were happy....and satisfied.

Great food, friendly atmosphere. If you're in Gillett stop by they have sandwiches, Mexican food and burgers.

I eat here about three times a week. It's a small little cafe/store, but you don't need nothing big. I love the burgers! I'll call in my order and they have it bagged and ready to go. The people who run it couldn't be more nicer. All around excellent place to stop by and grab a bite to eat.
