Gerardo's Meat Market Tamales & Taqueria

While the building doesn't look like much from the outside, it has the potential of becoming a favorite spot to eat. On this visit, I tried the chicken-fried steak. It was a nice cut of meat and tasted good. It was served along with fries, Texas toast, and a salad--all were good but I would prefer mashed potatoes. I will definitely be back to try some of the Mexican dishes. Service was a little slow but we had everything we needed. Prices were in line with other restaurants. One thing to note, there is a 4% charge if paying with a card.

I really enjoy eating at Gerardos, the enchiladas, beef and chicken fajitas are good. But my go to meal here is the pepper steak. Basically a hamburger steak stuffed with cheese and jalapeños with French fries and brown gravy. Good lunch specials.
