I guess I'm spoiled by living in a very large city and have a higher expectation for ambiance for a steakhouse, but we walked in and it looked more like a barbecue joint. With large dead animal heads on the wall. There were 2 deer, a doe and a buck. An elk. A bighorn sheep. A Longhorn bovine. And an exotic nilgai. If that doesn't say this is where people like to hunt, while we were viewing the eclipse, we encountered a couple who stopped on the way to their hunting lease.An extra star for the service. The people were nice and helpful. We were kind of demanding and they met all our requests promptly and pleasantly.The food. The steaks had a strong, strange taste. The best I could figure was it was liquid smoke. You're not fooling anyone into thinking you're cooking over a mesquite fire by marinating your steaks in liquid smoke. At least you're not fooling me. Perfectly cooked steaks rendered nearly inedible by the overwhelming, weird flavor. My tablemate's liver was so undercooked it was bloody. I don't think liver is supposed to be served rare.The salad was really good. Other sides were meh. The green beans were canned. French fries looked like they originated frozen out of a bag. The potato skin appetizer was good. The broccoli fresh but mushy - or possibly frozen as well? The cheesecake was good but they served it upside down with the crust on top? The wines were average - drinkable, but I think the wine at Olive Garden is better?I wanted to go to the Mexican restaurant but got overruled by the two guys. I'll hold that I may be wrong about the mesquite, but I did not see or smell any sign of a wood/charcoal fire.

I should've taken a picture of our delicious food! My husband had the ribeye, loaded baked potato and green beans. He ordered his steak medium well it was cooked to perfection. I had the salmon with asparagus. It was delicious. The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant is clean and basic ranch style decor. All they need is bourbon!

Nice ppl but they have yellow gravy! I think there's mustard in it but hard pass . Potato skins are literally chopped potatoes with cheese and bacon! Stay way from the chips and queso ! Pretty sure it's from a can or jar.

Not entirely excited about this place. I would need one more go to truly have a more refined review. The visit started off good with rolls that that were very tasty and the service was quick with our drinks. However, as guests came in we were less and less greeted and checked on. When a big party came in I couldnt wave down our waitress to ask a question, so I had to finally go to the front and ask the hostess. For my meal, I got a 7oz NY strip with a Caesar salad and broccoli. The cook seemed to have lost confidence because half my steak looked cooked and the other looked like it was left on the grill for half the time. The seasoning was amazing, so if it was cooked properly I would have finished it. The salad was delicious chopped romaine, but the Parmesan was nothing but the artificial powdered cheese, so underwhelming. Lastly, the broccoli was cooked/steamed the way I liked, but it had some weird flavor, bacon fat??? I'm truly unsure. I didn't finish my steak or broccoli, but I would go back to try once more.

Solid...I was in a group of 3 and we arrived 15 minutes prior to closing, however all 3 dishes appeared & tasted like they were made during the middle of the day...our waitress was GREAT with a GREAT ATTITUDE...she was cheery and engaging and helpful...GREAT JOB for the end of the night...we ordered Wings, Oysters, & a Turkey with Avocado & all 3 dishes were tasty ( I had the Turkey w/avocado & mushrooms...it was tasty & I had a wing from my buddy's plate)...I'm impressed
