General Wok

This is the least inviting restaurant I've walked into in a long time. Seriously. When me and my family asked about seating, we were very rudely informed "Carry out only." No signage indicating no dine in. My family decided to just order something and get moving. As I looked around waiting for everyone to order, I'm kind of glad we didn't sit. The entire dining room There is literally no decorations, anywhere. I'm not sure the furniture could withstand any kind of weight, including a small child. It was so dimly lit that I couldn't properly judge cleanliness. But the portions were huge. Flavor was mediocre. If you want lots of food cheap and don't mind sketchiness about hygiene or poor customer service, this is your place.

I don't really see a lot of Chinese place in the Freeport area of Texas, but this place has one of the best General tso I tasted. The sweet and spicy sauce that's thick and oozes out. Mix it up with some rice...... you'll get a happy new

Only because I have to give a star to write a review of this poor excuse for a restaurant. Look at all that grease that's not sauce it's grease. Don't waste a penny on this shit hole! Trust me it's not worth it

General Wok is delicious! I'm from Austin and came to explore the coast, and I'm so happy I tried it! I ordered General Tso chicken and hot and sour soup, both were very tasty. I will definitely come back when I visit again.

In general, this is the best option for Chinese take out if you're in Freeport or work in the nearby plants. Don't expect to be blowed away, but do expect to get a good size portion of food for the price you pay. Food will be hot and will be affordable and you'll enjoy Chinese food rather than the typical fast food in the surrounding areas.

This place has the best Chinese food around here. The steamed dumplings and beef w/ broccoli are delicious. If you had a bad experience in the past you should definitely give them another try. I believe it's under new management.

I wanted to try this place out since there aren't a lot of reviews.We went through the drive thru, didn't go inside so I can't comment on that. A man took our order he did offer help since we weren't sure on what to get but I order a Sesame Chicken and a General Tso Chicken. They were actually pretty good and it was hot, the portions were nice and the sauces weren't over powering nor was there a weird after flavour. It was filling and I feel like I would come back to order again

Waited outside in parking lot called 3 minutes before open and they answered just to hang up after a couple minutes of me calling hello. I finally order and sure enough it's wrong I had to wait ten extra minutes for a .60 up charge on some wings that should've came with my order but they tried to charge me for an order of wings at the window... !?

So the food is pretty good here, but I just ordered fried rice with just chicken and shrimp and extra cabbage. They just charged me $2 for the extra cabbage. Seriously?! There better be a whole damn head of cabbage in my fried rice. The food is pretty good like I said, but the service is crappy and people are rude. And obviously there's a serious language Gap

Went and got $52 worth of food and something seemed off but my family still ate. A couples houses later my brother in law started to throw up. Didn't think anything of it. But than me and my husband started the same symptoms and my 2 year old son. All 4 of us got food poisoning, when I tried to tell them my concern it basically got ignored. Would of tried to get a refund but there was no point. Will never be getting food from here again. Just horrible that all that food gave 3 adults and 1 child food poisoning.
