Garcia Mexican Food Restaurant

This place was recommended for authentic Mexican food. Please keep in mind there are so many regions in Mexico that one persons authentic food could be way different from another's. I found this place with no issues but parking was another story. I really didn't know where to park so I just parked next to the garage and thought that would work. lol. It did. I walked in and didn't know if I should seat myself so I just stood there and then I was told to sit anywhere. I chose to sit at a booth but after I got settled I realized I should have sat at a table because the table at the booth was too low and it slanted, sloped to the left. As I was looking around I noticed all the booths were like that. I decided to get the buffet. It was quick and I could see the food and decide accordingly. There was a good selection but I didn't see enchiladas. . . well what I think of as a traditional enchilada with cheese and sauce. I choose carnitas, picadillo, potato taquitos, caldo de rez, rice, carne guisado, and not sure if it was a taco or chalupa, and a lemonade. I didn't eat all this lol it was more so a tasting menu. Everything I had tasted good but I was missing that cheesy enchilada. I also had some chips and salsa. . . Red and a green guacamole type. They make homemade tortillas so I asked for two of each. I had so much food that I ended up taking the flour tortillas with me and ate them the next day. Staff were very attentive and the drink was sooo big they never had to come back to fill it. I didn't realize the buffet was $20. . . but if you can eat then it's worth it. I also didn't realize they had a menu to order from. If I'm in the area I'd give it another try.

The food, service, and ambiance are on point. We usually swing by and pickup breakfast once a week. We highly recommend Garcia's!

The restaurant is filthy. Food is old and stale. Overpriced for what it is to top it all off. Service was good, but that doesn't really make up for it.

We are from out of town and we were looking for a place to eat some tacos and coffee. We saw the 5 stars and thought let's give it a try. When we first drove in we saw it's a whole in wall but then sometimes those are the best places. Then we noticed bags of water hanging by the front door and thought it was strange but kept going in. As soon as we opened the door we were inundated with the smoke and the smell of food cooking. As we were waiting for our food we were greeted by aggressive flies. I'm sure we were a sight swatting them away from our faces. I ordered bean and cheese and my husband bacon and egg. My taco was crunchy with uncooked beans and my husband was missing the bacon in his taco. Although I will say the salsa was delicious. The wait staff was very attentive and nice with beautiful smiles. It's so unfortunate that we had this experience because we were looking for somewhere good to eat.

Authentic Mexican food deliciously prepared. Have the guisado tacos they do not disappoint. The menudo is a mouthwatering contrast of spicy and flavorful.

The buffet here is worth every single calorie. It is amazing, freshly made and authentic. If you are looking for good Mexican food this is the best right next to my mother's cooking. The red chile pork guisado is amazing. The chile relleno not greasy at all. This is a must go to place if you are looking for good food.

service was bad, food was ok not that great, not much selection.

Everything from breakfast to lunch is totally delicious service is good music while you eat is great I feel it's my mom cooking in the kitchen

Fantastic food! Everything is homemade and fresh. The family is in the back cooking while you eat. The staff was so kind and welcoming. We ate here every day of our stay and had both their breakfast and lunch buffet. Fantastic. I wish they could deliver to Dallas!
