Gaona's Taco House & Restaurant

Decent hole in the wall. I showed up and there was only one couple eating. I ordered three tacos and it took almost 30 mins. There were four people working there on the floor but nobody was doing anything. They were all just sitting around. The lady who charged me for the tacos got up from the chair charged me then sat down for the whole time. Tacos were decent but Eagle pass has tons of restaurants with tacos. Sorry y'all lost a customer.

My first time here. I was very pleased with the service and the food. The chicken mole enchiladas were good, just the right amount of mole sauce. The chicken envueltos were kind of dry but is you add the salsa, it was better. Plenary of seating and server wore there masks.

Their menudo and hamburgers are great, feels like you're in Mexico! Excellent service.

This place is ok, mediocre at best. I had the tacos rojos, which had 6 ground beef tacos with rice and beans. They were ok, but too greasy for my taste. They came topped off with lettuce and yellow cheese. The chips and salsa served were ok also. Chips were very salty for my taste. I would come back, but order something else. I'd like to try the caldo de res at some point. Given I haven't found a great Mexican food place here (which is sad given it's a border town), I'd come back. I had high expectations for this place, which of course weren't met.

Food was ok but the place was full of smoke me and my wife came out smelling all Smokey and I think it's to pricey for the food we got.

The enchiladas de pollo were nice and the salsa was pretty good too. The only complaint was that the waitress never did refills on the drinks.

My overall experience was great. The service was good. You can get 10% off your bill if you post your meal on social media and show them proof. My order did not take that long to get. Their tortillas is really good.

Gaona's in Eagle Pass serves delicious breakfast and lunch I've never had dinner, and the prices are great. They serve the very best Tacos in town !

The food was satisfactory but they overcharged me. Our bill was $22 but the receipt that was sent to my email address shows $35. My credit card was also mistakenly charged $35. I received an email requesting feedback regarding my experience there and I gave them a low rating because they overcharged me. The restaurant has not corrected the charge nor reached out to me regarding this error.

Delicious authentic Mexican food! Prices are very affordable! Staff treats you very well, it's a nice place to eat with your friends and have a great time!
