Fulton Harbor Bait Stand

The front decorations/style of the store is so catchy, the very reason why we chose this bait shop than the many others by the pier. we chose. They have a great selection, the staff are friendly and very helpful. They also have an area to catch your own live bait. Bring cash, they do not accept credit/debit cards.

Came to the bait stand after I found a few that were already closed. The staff was friendly and fast. Picked up a quart of live shrimp and 2 pounds of dead shrimp. Used the bait to catch some redfish and clack drum.

Woke up this morning with one dream,... to walk along the Fulton Beach road and live "in the moment." I could immediately smell the salt air like opening a candle jar perhaps named, "The First Day of the Rest of Your Life."I saw the waters pull itself onto the shore of tiny broken shells like a sheet pulled atop a bed over and over. Through my binoculars, I could watch a ship in Aransas Bay and lots of shrimp boats seining their catch. The white pelicans were out swimming alongside the brown pelicans. People were driving by in their cars and waving to me like they knew me. I walked on the shore, and the large cement blocks for erosion control, and on the piers and then I arrived at the park. I stopped in at the Fulton Harbor Bait & Seafood store and said hello to Jesus, the guy who takes care of the aquatic pools for blue crabs, finger mullet, live shrimp and other types of live bait. I talked to him about a state license for fishing and crabbing. He is always supportive and knowledgeable. I returned to my walk home and it took two hours. Then I drove back to the bait stand and got 15 blue crabs for lunch. They're $2 a piece and the store is cash only. I took lots of photos so you could experience this great day with me!!

Great place to get your bait near Fulton. They usually have good sized shrimp and mullet available. Their popularity is noticeable as typically there are other patrons getting bait.

Great bait stand! Awesome people, high quality live shrimp. Tried a few other places, usually got home with "freshly dead" shrimp, this place has provided lively shrimp that will make it back to your pier! Thanks!
