I've just made it home after our trip to Full Stringer Lodge. I arrived late Friday evening and was able to receive information about our room number and door code. Driving up to the lodge I thought it was beautiful! Gorgeous scenery and flower beds, along with decor. Our room was perfect. Very clean, plenty of towels and a beautifully made bed. A small coffee bar in the room was great! Bed was comfy plenty of blankets and comforters. Thank you so much for hosting us, especially with all that is going on with the health crisis. We will be returning this summer!!

Nice, clean, quite place to stay! Perfect for couples who want a weekend away without the kids. The harbor is less than a mile away and the coffee shop is right next door. Staff were all very courteous and friendly. We will be back!

We stayed here for one night on a Saturday. The lodge is very cute and quaint! Decorated very beachy but in a modern way. The bed and linens are comfy and the bathroom is very spacious with a great shower. Awesome blackout shades. The lodge was very quiet which was a plus. No microwave or mini fridge in room but there was a coffee bar and fresh baked cookies! Overall this place definitely beats the competition for the price range in the area. We would definitely stay here again.

This lodge is adorable!!! Has a cute beach feel with a nice location. The rooms are perfect and beds are comfortable. They have in room TV, coffee maker, water bottles and delicious fresh baked complimentary cookies in the room. The coffee shop next door is quaint and a great place to hang with friends and family for coffee and/or breakfast/lunch. The patios have fireplaces with cozy furniture for socializing. Janet was very sweet and texted us with our check in code the morning of our arrival. I was very impressed by this lodge and will absolutely stay here next time I visit. Thank you for the hospitality.

This is a nice gem in the growing town of Matagorda. It is on the higher scale than a fishing motel. Which are perfect for the weary fishermen. Enjoy the breeze on the comfortable outdoor setting and shop at Cattails next door. Big bathroom and comfortable bed. Rooms are a little small. No microwave etc. but coffee, bottle water, robes and delicious cookies.

My Wife and I went down to Matagorda for a flounder gigging trip and stayed at the lodge 2 nights. This was place was perfect! The property was very clean and the rooms were very nice. Really like the 2 story deck and fireplaces. Cassady's next door was amazing for breakfast and lunch. Wide variety on the menu and the coffee was great too. This place is a step above the others in Matagorda.

Rented a condo through VRBO this group manages and it wasn't supplied with toilet paper, paper towels or extra trash bags. I've rented VRBOs about 20 times over the years and everyone had these simple items in them. When we called about it they said we had to supply everything. I'll never rent a property this group manages again.

When staying the night at the coast there are 3 things that matter the most to me, the A/C works, the shower water comes out like it supposed to and the beds are comfy. Well this place nailed all 3 and had a lot more amenities to enjoy. Highly recommended.

Don't do it fisherman's. There's no ice maker, fridge or microwave. Just big bed and shower. No good curtains to keep the sun out after that long fishing trip. No one at the counters between the hours of 6p or 9a. I'll take a good night sleep in a cheap motel for $80 than pay the $147 for this place again. We had no choice. Everywhere else was booked up. Even the cheap motels which were older but had most regular amenities. This place charges to much. Next time we'll sleep in the boat. Plus this will save my credit card from being charged the $50 (without being told) for dirty sheets they could wash out. All fisherman's know after a long day out in the sun and wind.. all you want to do is sleep. Even sometimes without a shower. Fish, guts and blood. Cattails, keep your complimentary cookies and be fair in a fishing town. Repeat customers are everything for businesses. Perhaps you would be fully booked instead of half at 1p on a Saturday.
