Friends On Walnut Street

We stopped in because, well, it's not starbucks and it's located in beautiful converted historic home. The cashier/barista greeted is and told us she was at the rodeo late last night and still a bit out of it (it's 3pm). All we wanted were lattes and she seemed confused when I told her I prefer no foam. About 5 mins later she brought out the drinks. My son had a brown sugar sweet cream cold brew and loved it. My husband and I both ordered latte. They were double shots, he got whole milk and I got oat milk. Each "latte" was about 4oz including the shots and milk. The flavor of coffee was extremely mild. We love boutique coffee shops but unfortunately, we won't be returning to this one. It's barely a step above starbucks if that and more expensive.

Cute coffee shop with a variety of seating- great if you need to get work done. Staff was very friendly. I give it a 2-star though, because the coffee is way overpriced for what you get and there's a lack of attention. We talked with the gal at the counter about recommendations, and said we don't like syrups because they are too sweet. My husband ordered a cold brew and I ordered a large cappucino. What did we get? He took a sip of the cold brew and was shocked at how sweet it was, and she said "Isn't it good? We make it with a syrup." And my "large" cappucino was a teeny tea cup. Our 2 pastries and 2 coffees came to $22; I know the pastries were $4 each (and delicious), so the coffees were $14?! We like to support small local businesses, but that's just unrealistic pricing.

First time experiencing Friends on Walnut street w a coworker and the coffee is amazing and their fudge coffee brownies were delicious! Customer service was great! And overall the environment was super cute and friendly. Definitely recommend this place for any first timers and if I wasn't two hours away from this place, I'd be a regular customer. :))

I loved this place!! Amazing service + a lovely owner! Homemade coffee and sandwich, a much needed get away and cute shop! Highly Recommend if you want a light lunch and some caffeine!
