Well priced, only $55 for a family pass, child care included. Hours on childcare aren't bad, tends to be cold in there so bring a sweatshirt for the kiddos. Good equipment, plenty of dumbbells and plate weights. Can be difficult to find 15-25lb dumbbells depending on the time of day. Someone already mentioned the lack of 2.5lb plate weights. Would be REALLY nice if they could get some of those in. Like the other post said, they are vital for progressive overload and any "real" gym should have them. Placement of the power racks kinda stinks, not sure who's idea it was to put them facing each other instead of a wall-mirror. Don't know about you, but I don't want to stare eye to eye at someone doing an overhead press while I'm trying to squat. For as many benches (4 flat, 2 inclined, 2 declined) as this place has, it's fairly lacking in deadlift platforms, only two. The entire gym is definitely geared much more toward younger lifting novices working on those beach muscles. Speaking of the clientele... Re-racking, or complete lack there of, is abhorrent. Weight "nesting" is more common than most gyms. The cables tend to get over crowded camped on. Mostly a younger crowd, you'll see a lot of kids checking their abs in the mirror, poor form, poor etiquette, stuff that'll drive a middle aged seasoned lifter mad. But, like I said, only $55/month for a family pass at a chain gym, so you get about what you expect. Moved from CCAC for the savings in monthly membership and don't regret it at all. Looking forward to the new SPID location opening this fall.

I'm only in town for awhile and definitely wanted to stay in shape for the time I was here. My family and friends recommended Freedom and I love the prices (especially the deals for Military). The parking for the gym is vast and the cleanliness is awesome! Right when you walk into the front door you are greeted and welcomed. There is a great daycare for the kids with slides, games and a movie theater to keep them occupied. To the left is a Smoothie King, for the individuals who want an amazing protein shake after a good workout.The gym has massage chairs and a tanning area for premium clients and the gym is a good size. It has a weight area (which the dumbbells go up to 100lbs), a only woman's area, a field area (for athletic workouts such as tire flips and power sleds),an upstairs cardio area, and an upstairs fitness class room. The staff is great and there are always trainers around to help with workouts and advice. This place is 24 hours (which I love) and the cleanliness is amazing! If you are looking to have a good workout at a good gym for a good price then this is your gym.not to mention access to any other Freedom Fitness location.

The fact that the gym is 24 hr. open is one of the biggest pluses for me. If I need to go to school or work I can always come in and get my workout done early, at any time. There's plenty of machines to use and an upstairs cardio room which I think is perfect for when I don't feel like running in the heat outside. The people who go here are friendly and the staff and trainers are nice people who want to help. Always saying "hi" as you walk in, and "bye" when you leave. Customer service is something that is extremely important to me and freedom fitness does a really good job at it. Not to mention multiple locations to workout throughout Corpus.... I'll be staying here for a long while needless to say, good job

Love the women's workout room could use better equipment and could be cleaner but nice place.

Was a pretty good gym, had many interesting machines as well as plenty of free weights, but.. they have absolutely zero 2.5 pound plates. So for big lifts like deadlifts or bench press, i simply couldn't progressively overload the way i was wanting and it prevented me from properly doing my deadlifts. But generally I didn't have many issues with my exercise selection EXCEPT, when I tried doing over head extensions with cables, the weight kept hitting the very top of the machine. Which prevented me doing full ROM. Instead just did Ez-bar skull crushers. Will also say, could use some heavier dumbbells as they only go to 100, especially with the type of people i saw there; lotta swole bro's. Oh also for some reason they have a rule where you have to have a spotter, but then barely anyone does it lol. On one last side note, I'd recommend bringing a one gallon to the gym with ya. As this place doesn't have a great way to fill your container and they're water tastes kinda meh.

Painting indoors during busy day. Only cares about saving money. Open 24 hours but think it's ok to expose customers to paint fumes.

The tanning bed is a dinosaur. It's very old at this gym and it also never works. I am disabled and I only join the gym to Tan I always have to go out of my way to a different gym. Just use a tanning bed. I'm actually about to cancel my membership with y'all this is ridiculous. well ALL pay so much money a month. And there not even a phone number to call anyone at the gym to take to management !!!!!

I come here relatively often and I was given a tour by someone about what the place looked like and all the equipment and benefits they offered, like a girl's private workout room. So now I have a membership and a training deal here and I love it, definitely don't regret it. I already have visible muscular gains. And I want to give a special shout out to my trainer, Terra- she is an awesome trainer. I've learned a lot from her and she helps me push myself! She's also a good friend, which I wasn't expecting and it was a pleasant surprise. I'm glad I got my membership here and I recommend this place to others. It's a good price and they keep the place very clean. There are sanitizing spray stations at every trash can, which is nice because multiple people's sweat and the potential bacterium of that is daunting. 5 stars
