They seem not really interested in whole rescue process. Only helping certain dogs is not a good quality for a rescue. The goal of a rescue should be the pet to save them help them rescue them from bad situations, not to pick and help only the good ones in great shape, that defeats the whole purpose of the word Rescue.

They were very helpful in the dog we adopted from them. They gave us tons of support. We had that dog for 10 years and they were kind when I let them know the dog had passed away.

We adopted 3 of our furr babies from For the Love of Strays. They were very nice and helpful in finding the right dogs for our family. And it turned out to be the perfect fit! Thank you FTLOS for completing our family and filling our hearts! If you are looking for your next four legged family member these are the ladies to go to! They were very thorough and professional and yet fun to sit and chat with during the adoption process.

I've just witnessed a horrible situation with Judy Couch from the love of strays REFUSING to reunite a lost pet with its owner. After having the dog for a few days she sent the dog off to "a Dallas Rescue" place, or so she says, but refuses to give the owner of this dog any phone numbers, email address or people's names involved in the transport. The owner is devastated and Judy says its out of her hands!! SHE is the one who had this poor lost dog transported to DALLAS, and now that she knows the owner is crying and heartbroken and just wants her dog back, Judy is not giving any explanation as to why she is refusing to reunite them! Only that she can't do anything!!! Isn't this their job to REUNITE pets with their owners??!!! Or find them good homes??!!! I wonder how often this happens?! She's an awful person who figures if she assumes the animal is in bad shape or the owner is not a good owner then she will REFUSE to reunite dog and owner! I'm heartbroken for this poor lady that her dog is supposedly in Dallas!! Soooooo SAD :(

Bizarre organization that transfers purebred dogs from all over the state. They get dogs out of dog pounds all over Texas but they must be pure bred. They don't seem interested in reuniting local pure bred dogs with their distraught owners. Sounds to me like they are a money motivated organization who are in it for the money and whatever "power trip" they get off on in the name of animals. I know of one woman's dog that was immediately transferred to North Texas and the next day they found the owner or rather the owner found them. They refused to put the owner in contact with the people who have her dog. Why wouldn't you want these two people to speak to each other it doesn't make sense. They do have a network of fosters who are bizarre people. The lady that was mauled and ķilled by pit Bulls in Flour Bluff was one of their foster homes. This tells me they don't properly screen fosters or dogs that don't belong in same pack.
