Flying Pig Grill & Cantina

Have been here in the evenings and for lunch and the service is always slow. Nice people but just terribly slow. Wings are really good and drinks are pretty good too. Prices are a bit high. Place itself is pretty nice. Went in for lunch today and wasn't even greeted and I waited several minutes but server/bartender never got to me. It was fairly busy but that's no excuse, they should have more staff or something so I walked out since I didn't wanna spend all my lunch here to be attended but check it out if you have some time.

Good food, ambience is fine & our server was super friendly, but we were shocked when we received our bill. We accessed the menu via QR code & thought prices were excellent. Imagine our surprise when our bill was almost double what we expected. The server politely informed us (after we questioned bill) that the prices had increased but the menu had not been updated. This deceptive practice must be addressed. Do better! Take a minute to update your menu prices so customers are not blindsided when they receive their bill.

I wish i would have taken more photos, because the ones on here do not do it justice. Also wish i knew the names of who I am almost certain were the owners, because they were awesome! I have ZERO complaints, seriously ZERO! ~It has the perfect dive bar feel without feeling gross/dirty.~The music was a good array of genres and was a good volume (having music be too loud when trying to have conversations drives me nuts)~The people were so nice and friendly. The service was just the right amount of attention without being annoying.~ THE DRINKS! We started with a beer & a mule, easy stuff that tasted good. Then we saw a pretty green drink being made and inquired to find it was a cucumber margarita. He generously gave us a taster and I was floored at how good it was. My boyfriend doesn't care for cucumbers and he loved it. We both ordered one (I eventually had a second one). It tasted so fresh and was perfectly made. Get the chili rim, you will not be disappointed.~THE FOOD! Not going to lie, even though this place was recommended to us mainly for the food, I had low exceptions. I assumed we were in for mediocre bar food and I was very wrong! Philly Cheese - meat was tender, cheese was melty, bread was soft but not soggy, and it had just the right spicy kick. Onion rings were perfectly cooked, lightly battered, sweet and delicious. Angus Beef sliders were the BEST sliders I have ever had and next time I will get a full burger; I didn't even add any condiments because it was so good. Sweet Potato were waffle cut and crispy, which is rare to find with sweet potato. My boyfriend, who doesn't love going out, stated "This is my new favorite place" and I gree! We will be back...often!

Great environment, good people and awesome beer selection. Hopefully Joe is there to talk to you at the bar! As a hometown kid who moved away I know this is exactly what the valley needed. I have never seen such a great variety of Texas beers and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Brought a couple of guys from work over to watch football. We had drinks and a bite to eat. Very comfortable atmosphere place seemed friendly, food was good. We had a blast.

Great place to chill with friends! Food is , especially their burgers and fries. Drinks are great. The prickly pear Margarita is my fave!

A true gem in the north Brownsville/Olmito area! Come with time, because the food takes a while to prepare! My favorites: the burgers 10/10, the bone-in wings 9/10!

Amazing food in dive bar scene. Bartender /Waitress was amazing. Try the Cuban it was on point
