Everyone, it's okay to season your meats. I PROMISE YOU a robust flavor of herbs and spices attract a lot more diverse customers than by playing it safe and under-seasoning. (Don't over do salt ofc, but the other seasoning - GO FOR IT)It's just that the Ribeye came out a little bland. The sear had barely any crust/crunch to it. My husband was frowning during the entire experience. Secondly, the Panko-crusted Artichoke Chicken needed more herb to its batter and a flavorful marinade (at least) before frying. Beyond that, the portion size didn't fill us up, and we left still hungry. And we're a small framed couple, so I would love to leave with a box of leftovers at our size than to leave with an empty stomach. This place has a lot of potential, but I think it needs to understand that fine-dining does not mean to lack flavor.

Went there and ate off the brunch menu. Only had brunch when I went. Had a spicy egg sandwich and it was good. Not a large variety of food, at least on the brunch menu.

This spot is one of the nicer places in this little town.They have a full bar, Dining inside or out on the patio.We have been here for Valentine's day twice. I Love it! We have gone with friends and just the 2 of us. It is a great hang out spot too! The service is slow and the hostess was not pleasant but the waitress was super polite and very apologetic for the wait. The bar drinks are always on point here!! The Lobster Crab cakes are my Fav!! Chicken fried deer steak is tender and juicy!!The portions are perfect! A little on the pricey side but well worth it!! The Mahi Thermadore is great too! I love the fingerling potatoes!

Not bad. I had the mahi thermidor, and the sauce was outstanding, but the fish was over cooked. Veggies on the side were pretty good grilled, and better dipped in the sauce. My buddy enjoyed his steak. I'll definitely be back but will know to ask for the fish a bit underdone before it's gratineed. Service was fine.

Surprisingly good! He had the Cajun pasta, loaded with seafood....Spicy but good. I had the artichoke chicken with pasta and grilled tomatoes....delicious with a creamy artichoke sauce. We finished with a light and delicious peach cobbler, more like a cake baked with peaches inside and a raspberry drizzle, served with a side of ice cream.....YUMM!

When we come to Bay City to visit my daughter, we always have to go to Fat Grass! You can sit outside or inside for casual or in the dining room for a little more reserved atmosphere. The old bar is amazing! Absolutely must try the Wedding Cake Martini, my favorite! Today we ordered the Artichoke chicken which comes with pasta - oh my! We were greeted warmly and we asked to sit in a booth to contain the grands. Our server was the best! Great manners and very attentive! Love this place!

I've been to Fat Grass for drinks as well as dinner and each and every time has been a good experience. Between the, Live Bands, Properly made drinks, and good food, I recommend it for anyone looking for a high quality establishment.

I'll start by saying the hostess a d our waitress Zan were great.However, there were several things on the menu that were not available, some beer brands were not available, and most importantly, the rib eye steak that they claim is 16 ounces and they charge $42 for was very disappointing. I have never had a ribeye that was less than a quarter inch thick. I was expecting a true Texas ribeye and got a horrible product.If you want bread you have to ask for it and pay extra.I asked for an espresso but they don't have it, however they offer an espresso martini. Kind of confusing.Not what I expected from the reviews.I would and will not ever go back.I gave it 2 stars only because Zane's service.

A hidden gem in the Bay City area! First time in the city and we were limited to selection of eateries since it was late but they open till 3:00 in the morning. This place did not disappoint. The service captured our attention but the food was the main attraction! There was 7 in our party and everyone got to experience something different. The steak was cooked in a manner that just melted with every bite. The eggplant Parmesan was amazing and the deer chicken fried steak was sooo good. The red fish was fresh and flavorful. As we sat there enjoying our feast, the Dj music started and so did the drink selection. Very avant-garde for a sleepy little town. It's a must!
