Family Center IGA Food Store

Cool little family store. Has hot food and some fresh produce. And lots of standard food stock and drinks. Best to go here if you haven't had a chance to stock up at HEB beforehand.

We love an IGA. Home town feel but they have everything you need or want. Was very surprised by the affordable prices. Was expecting higher prices since we were at the beach. We stopped in everyday we were there. Nice, friendly workers every time. Nice deli and huge wine selection

This is the only full-service grocery store on the island. Its old but serves its purpose. We have been shopping here for years, and for a smaller grocery store, there is nothing we haven't been able to find. Plenty of sunscreen, towels, and other beach stuff and souvenirs. The produce section is not that big, but usually packed with a wide variety of very fresh fruits and vegetables. Likewise, in dairy (including eggs), a wide variety and stocked fresh daily. Beef, chicken and pork are plentiful. Great beer selection in the back, along with a decent selection of wine as well. And for us Texans who know what it is, there's always plenty of Blue Bell on hand. If you're not a Texan, and don't know what Blue Bell is, your loss! LOL JK! Blue Bell is just the best ice cream on the planet made here in Texas, Brenham, Texas to be exact. Get you some of that! If you're on the island, and don't fancy a 30-minute drive to get to another grocery store, mosey on into the Family Center IGA Food Store to do your provisioning! Recommend it!

Good selection of food; helpful staff - close to the beach (can walk, but better to drive)...March, 2023 VisitFor spring break we visited Corpus Christi, to enjoy a bit of sun and relaxation, and we enjoyed the trip.We had a sunny, cloudless sky the first afternoon, then two days of clouds. Then a mostly sunny day at the beach. We were slow getting up, so we got to the beach at lunchtime, and we wanted to dine on the sand. IGA is the grocery store on Port Aransas, on Mustang Island.The store was quite busy, as it has a large selection of food and drinks.We got a few items and quickly checked out and then enjoyed them watching the breaking waves, on a windy red flag day.Big selection of food and drinks, some ready-to-eat.Friendly staff.Thank you, IGA!

This is a great spot to pick up any incidental items that you may need while on the island. It is located in a convenient location and sure beats us driving over the water over the water and over the water to get to civilization. Clean market with plenty of offerings. Good produce and dairy selections, Great Carrot cake for dessert and of course a great Blue Bell Ice cream selection!! Highly urge you to drop by for any of your cooking needs.

The food here is always good. We just come here for the fresh food it is worth the price. The service is always good. Friendly staff. It is the only grocery store on the island .

It possesses a wealth of essentials. Quality brands, amiable attendants, and a commendable selection of goods. While the price point leans toward the upper end, it's reasonable given the smaller scale of this grocer. The quality of the meats, however, could stand some improvement. It radiates a charming small-town aura and offers an array of intriguing items worth perusing. Personally, as a time traveler with a penchant for grocery shopping, I find smaller stores like this one quite enjoyable.

Skip HEB and shop here. They have everything you need! From the outside, you won't believe how much cool stuff they have inside! The place has a cool sort of retro vibe like a small town grocery. But they have Boars Head sandwiches and wraps!! Lots of nice snacks like olives and cheeses and such, but also the everyday staples you'll need. Sunscreen, hats, shirts, shoes, toys, fried chicken!, a large selection of beverages and more all at reasonable prices.This place is sort of a local's 'secret'. You definitely want to check them out.

This is our place for groceries when we come to the island. They always have everything we need and some items we don't have at our local store! We will definitely be back.
