Emmy’s Tex Mex Restaurant

1/2025, I stopped in and tried their tortilla soup. I inquired about the soup ingredients, and requested the waiter add (on the side) chopped onion, and cilantro. First impression of the soup was underwhelming. But after adding the extra ingredients to the soup, I ended up finishing the entire large bowl. Another new Tex-Mex restaurant opened in New Berlin. We decided to try it. After trying this business, the only thing going for it was a polite professional phone call and speed.  I'll never go there again and will deter anyone that mentions this restaurant 1. The taco meet; overprocessed and no flavor2. Stale taco shell3. Did not use real cheese.  They used something like Velveeta4. Bad quality of Lettuce.

Emmy's evidently credited the entire amount of our meal from my credit card. I do appreciate that, although I hope it did not negate the tip I left for our server as the issue was not related to her efforts. Given that there are so few local restaurants, we'll probably give them another try. We really do like to support local businesses.

I tried to order the daily special and was told they would have to charge me $15.99 instead of $8.99 because it was 10:53am and the special starts at 11am. I then ordered chorizo and eggs because I wasn't paying $15.99 for cheese enchiladas and was charged $.75 extra per taco because it was after 11am when they were brought out!How does this make sense?! Too early to order the special, but too late to order breakfast.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner this past sat. 4/6/2024. The food was very good as my wife and I had the enchilada dinners with puffy tacos. In addition to the meals, we had 3 beers and our total tab was $29.00 We are from Texas and know good Mexican food and I tell you now that this place is damn good not to mention the very reasonable price. We will be going back and this place is worth your time. Great service, nice hot sauce, home made tortillas, are you kidding me. Very Good!!!! 2 Thumbs up!!
