El Caporal 2

Nice again eating at this great place El Caporal the breakfast is always great and plentiful today I had the nopales and egg with refried beans and potatoes it also comes with 2 fresh handmade flour or corn tortillas. The salsas have a great taste and just the right amount of heat to the and the tostadas are not too oily and are crispy. I seem to be coming here almost every weekend for breakfast or lunch this has become one of my favorite restaurants in the RGV. Bad thing is they are only open until 3:00 pm.

I ordered a child's plate to go that was listed on the menu for $5.99 but was charged $7.99 plus an extra charge for using a card instead of cash. This is the second time that I have been up charged. Although the food is good, I probably won't be returning due to this happening more than once.

Bad service, took almost an hour for my plate. Cashier was offensive and never apologize. Not going back.

ALL waitresses had faces like they did not want to be there. They all were very rude when we asked for either more drinks or utensils. I switched my lemonade because the water taste was very bad and there was no point of getting a water because it tasted unfiltered. I went with two family members and our food was pretty good! But the enchiladas tasted so sad you could taste the velveta cheese. The atmosphere was nice! It was pretty clean except they'd leave out the Delight brand creamers out forever

Best breakfast around authentic Mexican food. I go every weekend with the family. Menudo and barbacoa always hit the spot.

This place sucks, I'd rather have food from stripes kitchen . The food was horrendous and the service didn't fall far behind. Wasted my time but not my money because I returned my plate.
