Driscoll Fruit Stand

Local fruit market conveniently located right off the highway. It has a large and wide array of fruit selections. I can remember my father stopping here to get fruits for the road trip as we drove past this fruit market. Now I stop by to load up on fruits, nuts, and local honey for the road-trip snacks. Do yourself and passengers a favor and stock up on delicious healthy road snacks before passing through!

Very sweet lady works there. She was very helpful and there were lots of great deals. Lovely little outdoor market. They had la good variety of things like pecans, lemons, limes, onions, avocado's and many more.

If you're traveling on Hwy 77 through Driscoll, you can't miss this fruit and vegetable stand! The bright yellow signs on the side of the road will invite you in and as long as it's not Monday or Tuesday (they're closed), you will be pleasantly surprised at their wide variety of produce. For a mid-May visit, we found a 5 lb bag of potatoes, 2 large sweet potatoes, a large bag of grapefruit, two bags of grapes, a head of lettuce, a bag of whole carrots, and even a can of soda for UNDER $11.00. They also have several different types of onions, apples, the usual cucumber, zucchini, and tomato selection, kiwi, avocado, celery, cherries, and even pumpkins! Upon entering the covered outdoor establishment, you are greeted by the extremely helpful owner and shelves of pecans and jalapeño jellies, among other spices and sauces. The pepper selection is on point, and there are mangos and watermelons every where you turn. Strawberries are offered every other weekend, as are other items. It's definitely worth a quick look, and it may even become your go-to spot for inexpensive yet quality produce. It's absolutely become ours! TIP: They are open Wed-Sun 9am-7pm as posted. I paid in cash so I'm not sure if they accept cards or check. The Veterans Memorial Park is located beside the stand, so make an afternoon out of it and bring the kids to play on the playground or walk the paved trail!

Yesterday on our way to Houston, we stopped by the shop to get some mangoes and she was selling for $ 5 per box. Mangoes looked nice and I asked if they are sweet, the lady said Yes Sir. Upon getting home was ready to enjoy mangoes, The first one I peeled rotten, then the second and the third and so on. I am very upset that she is selling these mangoes that could definitely harm and get people sick. If any lawful authorities in Sinton, TX are reading this message please take action. Concerned Citizen.

Worst service ever... not helpful and very rude, especially to my kids!! People like that don't deserve my dollar... Would not recommend and much less stop!
