Dos Gatos Kolache Bakery and Coffee Shop

I've had some take out kolaches from them but this was our first time stopping in. The staff was friendly and accommodating while I took my time looking at the plethora of baked goodness. The chorizo TX kolache was awesome. And the same goes for the Blueberry & Cream Czech kolache. I'm so glad they make the diction between the two kinds. It has always bothered me when people misname them. The pricing is good for the quality of the product you are getting. It is quite easy to go hog wild and get a full dozen with all their options. Next time, I hope to try to sausage and sauerkraut option.

Dropped by here during a road trip. Walked in and was greeted by the nice employee. It's a cute little place very close to the freeway. Maybe she was having an off day or I threw her off with my order but she only got 2 item out of the 9 kolaches correct. It's my fault for thinking $30 only for all that I ordered?!? I was wrong.So, to summarize since she didn't get most of my order correctly even though I repeated and pointed to the items I can say the BEST item they have that you MUST try is the jalapeño sausage and cheese kolache! It's one of the best I've had in a while.

OMG, although I love these kolaches, DON'T get the bacon & cheese. Mine was FULL of bacon fat, with just a small touch of bacon meat. And, I mean full of fat, disgusting. I don't know if an employee thought this would be funny, But I'm not taking another chance on on one of these. I'll stick with the sausage & cheese or ham & Swiss. Lowered one star from 5 to 4 because of this.

Easily one of the best places in Texas to grab some kolaches with their sausage, jalapeño, and cheese being my favorite. They're the only place nearby that I've found that uses quality sausage instead of hot dogs. I keep meaning to try their fruit and cream cheese kolaches as well, but every time I buy a dozen and bring them to work they're all gone before I get a chance. Their staff is always super friendly and I always feel welcome when I walk in. I have absolutely no complaints about any of their locations and I really recommend this place to anyone that gets a chance to stop by.

I was in San Marcos for work and needed to pick up breakfast. I went by around 9 AM and there was a line and quite a few flavors appeared to be sold out so the early bird gets the worm here.I ordered three different ones. A jalapeno polish sausage, a breakfast sausage, and a cherry cream cheese one. The jalapeno polish sausage was my first bite and omg it was amazing- my favorite of the day. I tried the breakfast sausage next and while it was ok I wish I hadn't had the jalapeno polish sausage first because it paled in comparison. The cherry cream cheese was a great sweet note to end my meal. Also, the price is extremely reasonable and I walked away under $8 which in this economy is always a plus.I do wish there was some more seating inside since I had to eat in my car but I wish I had something like this close to me because I could see it being a favorite.

After morning pet sitting I needed a little more breakfast so asked to stop here for a sausage/kraut kolache, a sweet kolache for later, and a milk. That was under $7 after tax and before tip so I'm happy as a clam.I appreciate they drain the kraut enough that the roll is still moist as you eat it without being soggy. And the good mustard in there! So happy making. The sweet kolaches are SO GOOD--that's what I missed most when I moved down here into the land of klobasniky which I have since learned to more fully appreciate. Mr R grabbed us a raspberry (his first choice had been raspberry/cheese) and it was a great snack for us to split but you KNOW it's easy to polish off two of these per person when you're not even hungry.Love the easy in/out parking lot here compared to the other location. Like all the other Katz bros. businesses in SM, this place is delicious, attractive, an affordable treat, and manages to simultaneously be a great fit in town and unique in its category.It's bound to be busy no matter when you arrive, and have a backup choice ready because there are many variations but they're all selling fast.

Cute little kolache shop that helped us carb up after climbing at a local gym. This little shop serves fresh sweet and savory splashes of assorted flavors along with some seasonal specials. You can find a list of coffees, juices, and smoothies to enjoy with your pastries. Be sure to try the freshly squeezed orange juice! Out of the kolaches, the bacon egg and cheese jalapeño is a must along with the apple cream cheese! The kolache breading is super buttery and flaky almost like a croissant. I recommend as best kolaches in San Marcos!

After living in San Marcos for four years, boy oh boy do I miss having this place! It's a MUST stop anytime I'm passing through. There is no such thing as a bad kolache here. No joke. Every single one is good?! I truly don't know how they do it. Todays shining star: oreo cheesecake. Plenty of parking, great customer service, and of course the phenomenal kolaches!

Nicely decorated little kolache shop with very good coffee. Tried the sausage and also cherry kolache with a cup of medium roast house coffee. Very nice server/barista and nice area to sit and read while enjoying the food. Clean restrooms too. Overall a nice little find.

Yummy yummy yummy I've got love in my tummy! These kolaches were delicious. I had a poppyseed, just like grandma used to bake. The second one I had was a Polish sausage, sauerkraut, and mustard. This was the best. The coffee was hot and fresh, and the employees most friendly. There are four tables inside and two outside, yes, the outside ones are puppy friendly. Yeah!
