Doña Paz

The food was really good. The thin steak was tender and had a really good flavor. The cheese enchiladas had great cheese. But the high light was the spicy salsa that was excellent. The servers were fast,attentive, and very nice. The restaurant looks small but lots of seating and nicely decorated.

Small local Mexican food restaurant. I ordered the chimichanga and it was huge. I expected ground beef as that is what you usually get. However this one was filled with big hunks of tender beef. I came hungry but I couldn't finish it. I highly recommend eating here.

El Dorado moved to another location. This is now Doña Paz. Tried it the other night and it was decent food. Not as great as El Dorado. My mother ordered a sombrero for 2 and they brought out a 16 inch plate with a ton of food. (See pic) My sombrero for 1 was good but not the best I've had. Meat was tender and had a good flavor. One of my tortillas was toasted and pretty much inedible. I would try this place for breakfast sometime but I think I'll stick with other offerings in Weslaco.

We really enjoy eating breakfast here. They have Menudo everyday a big plus for my husband. Homemade food is the best.

This place is right down the street from where I live. Absolutely a diamond, I love the breakfast, I am a chorizo and egg kid of guy, small cup of menudo on the side. Pleasantly surprised, fast service and great food. I am one who loves spicy food and I wish they had a spicier salsa than they currently have, but I think that's my only complaint. I wish they had a habanero salsa.

I've been here twice now, both with my mom. Everything we've ordered has tasted excellent and the portions have been huge. Service is always attentive.

The food was delicious. The tacos I ordered were bigger than what I had expected. The lemonade was just right, not too strong and not too watery. The inside of the building had nice paint. I really enjoyed this place and it almost got five stars except our waitress didn't come back to ask us if we needed anything. Besides that, going off of the food itself, I would give it a four or four and a half. Great place to stop by for good food and much more of it than your typical size when going to most Mexican restaurants.

Ordered food to go and it was good affordable food, meat lacked some seasoning but overall it wasn't bad. Guacamole could have been better as well. Cashier was super friendly and helpful.

Bey good coffee and breakfast. Only 1 other restaurant has awesome biscuits n gravy. But these are home made and gravy is very good. Haven't had lunch but for breakfast this is a place to stop.

Great place! Lunch was great! It's a Sunday and I was hoping for a late breakfast but there aren't very many choices around here that serve a late breakfast. Glad I found this place. Food gets an A+ for big servings and flavor. Come check it out; I recommend it!
