Detar Hospital Navarro

Worst experience ever at a hospital. Please drive to katy, Austin or Sugarland for better care. Its worth the drive!

I have been experiencing abdominal pain for two weeks. I visited Yvonne Ruiz two weeks ago, but due to my severe pain and lack of sleep, I forgot to bring the correct insurance information, so they sent me home. Later, I sent in my insurance details, but they said it was the wrong provider. I then realized I had given them the wrong information and gave her the correct one. I informed her that I had fixed this error many months ago, but the person on the phone likely didn't check. She claimed the information wasn't updated. I know it was updated because it shows correctly on the insurance website. She gave me attitude, and I responded in kind. She then informed me that Yvonne would be out of town for the entire following week. I asked if I could see someone else, but she said I would have to change my provider. Seriously?!My husband called on my behalf and requested a callback, but we never received one. A whole week passed with no callback. I called again yesterday, left a voicemail, and still haven't received a response. I have been living with intense sharp pain, lack of sleep, and fear. These actions are negligent and very dangerous.

The nurses here are excellent. However if you need a urologist do NOT depend on Dr. White. My dad has been waiting 5 1/2 hours and still no sign of him. It is is beyond ridiculous. When I asked for another Dr the staff said he was the only one on call.

We had an awesome experience!!! My daughter is only 4 and she had an outpatient procedure done. My little sweetheart is scared to death of doctors so the hospital is a scary place for her. Every member of the staff went out of their way to make sure she was at ease. The procedure went without a hitch and was non-traumatic because the staff at Detar was so attentive. Job well done!!!!.

I was taken there after I had a seizure, first night was crazy, my mind was playing tricks on me. Making me think one thing and it was actually different. The nurses and aides where very understanding and always with a smile. I know at first I wasn't an easy patient. I have never been to a hospital like that were the nurses are RNs and are always somewhere in the hall and not behind a desk for most of their shift. I enjoyed my stay, but was happy to go home

My husband had surgery in August and developed a bad infection in his intestines. For over 3 months he was in and out of that hospital for that infection. I just had to bury him. Don't use this hospital.

Citizens is 5 star compared to detar well first of all they didn't send medicine to the right pharmacy plus my spouse needs it he can't get it till Monday knowing Walgreens wasn't open on weekends they knew it didn't send it to the pharmacy when we told them told they can't change it it was electronically sent to wrong pharmacy if he has a flare up he will go back but not to detar that why there no one there everyone goes 5 star hospital then they don't listen at check out the either

Detar Hospital on Navarro in Victoria Texas is a VERY irresponsible place. Don Don't take ANYTHING personal out of value with you if you have to go there. They WILL lose it! My husband was VERY sick, he went into the ER by ambulance, a few days before Christmas. He was very out of it. We HAD a VERY HEAVY DUTY moving/transitioning pad That we put underneath him so that we could move him more easily. It went with him into Detar ER. From there they moved him into ICU. Between the ER and ICU, they LOST it! I have tried since dec 23rd to get ANYONE at that hospital to help find it, no one cares! They claim they've looked everywhere for it but they don't know what happened to it. Now What!? I guess it's our loss. Did they even offer to pay for it? No! Now what? I mean, how could you lose it? It's bright dark purple on one side, gray on the other, oh yea his name is on the gray side of the pad. Smdfh! So beware with any personal items. VERY unprofessional.

Was leaking a lot of blood from a foot injury and sat in er for 20 minutes losing more blood. Shitty staff. ZERO STARS. They didn't take it seriously at all and all staff just kept walking past me like I'm not just covered in blood

I would give them zero stars if I could. They blatantly violated hipa laws. I told them not to inform anyone of where I was being sent and there were people that knew before the ambulance got me to the receiving hospital. I have filed claims on this wrongful violation. Also the emergency room staff was horrible, rude,disrespectful and non caring. Dr Stone and the head nurse Bonnie were the rudest medical staff ever. Stay away from detar.
