Interesting ice cream shop in Port Aransas! Upon entering, you see lots of different decor, which is really cool! The owner travels frequently and brings in a lot of the souvenirs inside. We got the banana split and it was really delicious! Good portion too. They don't accept card, but you may pay in cash or Venmo.

CASH ONLY!! If you decide to stop by, please make sure you take cash! They do have an ATM inside if you don't have cash though. The inside is super cute with lots of seating and an eclectic array of decorations. They have games for the kids to play while the adults chat it up inside or sit on benches outside! A great nightcap before you call it a night! This is the second time we've been here visiting Port A. It's always busy no matter what time you go! They sell bluebell ice cream so you can't go wrong. The young ladies behind the counter were working feverishly hard and trying to serve people after people! I'd be exhausted if I were them but they maintained professional, they were quick and very pleasant given the stressful and crazy situation they are dealt with what may seem like every night! They can do sundaes, shakes, you name it with different toppings if you choose. They have a warm brownie sundae that is to die for!!! I was worried they'd run out because 8 people in front of me ordered one! They warm it up in the microwave and put whatever ice cream and toppings you want! I didn't get any pics of the ice cream because my kids devoured it before I could even pay! I got two scoops of chocolate in a cup, one scoop of mint, one scoop of strawberry and then the warm brownie sundae for a total of about $21. The only reason why I gave this place a 4 and not 5 stars is that they have a sign for magonada which my daughter really wanted. We are from south texas and it's a staple where we are at and she loves it. She was rather disappointed that they didn't have it. The young lady behind the counter stated they don't do mangonadas anymore. She did apologize profusely. However, as a business owner, if this is the case, please take your sign down. It's giving false hope to those who want a pallet cleanser or something light and fruity instead of thick and creamy. I would still recommend this place for an ice cream fix!!

Everything here is amazing. The only reason I bring the rating down is because every time we show up they're closed. If you can't get employees, then you need to work at yourself. But your hours on Google and yelp should reflect the hours which you are open. It is very disappointing to round all of the children and pull up into the parking lot just to tell them it's closed.

Walked over for dessert after dinner to this place I've always wanted to try. This time I was with ice cream lovers and they suggested the hot brownie sundae. I must say it was to die for. Fresh made brownie and your choice of ice cream. We ordered 6 and shipped them out. Next batch please....They do not take card so bring the green stuff we hardly use now a days. Personally like that, trying not to go all digital when it comes to my money. Just look for the pink bldg. Heard it was locally owned and they also have out door seating for those that are cold. Freezing inside. You won't be disappointed in that sundae. Large enough for two to share, even though no one shared in my group. lol.

This is a little different review. Ice cream...it's good. But it's Bluebell...just like you get here in Texas at the grocery store. So, that's Five Stars for the ice cream. The one star is how I witnessed the lady owner treating an employee. I was sitting outside when she came out of the store with what seemed to be a teenage boy. She berated him several times then called him Dumb because he didn't lock his bike up!!!!No room in the world for this. I felt sorry for the kid.

We were really forward to visiting this place so this was very disappointing. So first thing we walk in it's after 10 am, no lights no ice cream out, so we kind of waited for anyone to come out, after about 5 min a girl came out of the side maybe dining area?, anyway I asked her are y'all open. She said I just got here! Clearly she did not want to help us. So I said we will give you time to actually get open and get stuff out, we'll leave. She said great and walked away. So we left and most definitely did not retu

Excellent apple pie, made with love! Texan favorite ice cream from Blue Bell was predictably delicious. Some might ding them for no ice cream sample given, but it kept the line mooooving.Just enough nearby parking. Festive atmosphere.

Ice cream was superb, amazing service, and has a very friendly environment! Although I ordered a key lime pie shake and got what I think was a coffee shake but was still delicious! Would definitely recommend this place!
