In addition to living here at one point, my maternal grandparents were marriend in Victoria. It's a wonderful town to live and visit. Deleon Plaza is a great oasis in the midst of a bustling downtown. I toured all the historical markers in the plaza and took a breather in the quaint gazebo located on the grounds. Across the street is the oldest continuously running delicatessen in Texas. Don't miss out on their world famous reuben sandwich. The plaza is a gem in the middle of a lot of hidden treasure. Resolve to pay a visit if you're ever in the city.

A nice park in downtown Victoria! It's a great place to park, and have some lunch or enjoy the sunshine in Victoria. There's plenty of parking on the street, and if you're doing business downtown, it's a great place to start off from. This historic park feels like it's been around forever. The gazebo can be rented out if you have an event. At one end of the park is a larger than life monument to the fallen Confederate soldiers. At the other end of the park is the monument to the six flags that have flown over Texas. It gives a bit of history about how Texas has been such a hotly desired territory! This location is in the National Registry of Historic Places! There aren't any bathrooms. There's a drinking fountain that worked.
