Service was excellent, food was delicious- we had the chicharrones, empanadas and the Picania Steak plate. It was all good. We left before band started but will be back to check that out. Nice atmosphere and yetisibel was a great server, you could have a conversation without yelling and the restaurant is very pretty. Great job!

First time at Venezuelan restaurant and I have to say it went pretty well. Only 1 hiccup with the kitchen, granted one of us had to have part of her entree to go. It was not the server, but the kitchen. The ambiance is a fun and family type place , but at 10:00 to 2:am they have a band and party atmosphere. Fun if you're looking for a late night spot. I would recommend this place to anyone near the Katy /I-10 area looking for a nice evening out.

It was a holiday celebration for my work team. We decided to go here because no one had ever been there before. It was such a good choice. We were sat right away and greeted by the hostess. She answered all the questions that we asked. The food came out and all of it was very good. My only complaint is that some of it was Luke warm. I would definitely return.

This is one of the best Venezuelan restaurants in the Houston area!LOCATIONDaSilva Steakhouse is located in a centrally located restaurant strip mall in Katy (just west of Houston, TX) with plenty of free outdoor parking. The vibe has a sophisticated and family friendly feel to it. Common areas and restrooms were clean.SERVICEThe service is professional, helpful and all staff is diverse and fully bilingual.MENUThe menu offers quite a few options of traditional Venezuelan food. I ordered the special cachapa, pork rind (chicharron), fried arepas and the fried cheese. Everything was delicious! There is also a full bar with a few options of specialty cocktails.Overall, 100% recommended!

Wow, wow, wow. We could not have enjoyed this place more. We sat at the bar because we like to and there was a wait for a table (very understandable). The bar had four servers, Vincente, Jesus, Edy, Ramses, all were very friendly and on their game-simply put outstanding service as a team. Now the food. I ordered a chicken dish with a sweet plantain "bun" that was incredible-not something found in Detroit. I should mention the restaurant is Venezuelan themed. My wife had a NY Strip that she loved. The place is clean and classy. I could not recommend it more.

Food was phenomenal. The picanha was great. The appetizers were good. We had the cachapa and tequenos to start. Then the picanha after. All great selections. We did order the chocolate cake but only ate a but if it since we were so full. The cake was also very rich.

We ate on the patio. 1st mistake by our server: my husband ordered Heinekin 00 (non-alcoholic) beer. I asked for bourbon and Coke. Then I clarified, and made sure they had Coke Zero. The server brought the beer and a tall glass of Coke Zero, no bourbon. When I asked about it, he said, "You were serious about the bourbon?" Um, yeah... (The Coke Zero $2.99 was on my bill! I didnt notice it before now.)2nd mistake. We both ordered Ranch dressing for our salads. I got blue cheese, and my husband got no dressing.3rd problem: While not the server's fault, when we got our orders of Filet Mignon, the steaks were about 1/2 inch thick! 2 skinny little steaks wrapped in bacon on a skewer. The bacon was raw, because how can you cook an itty bitty steak to medium rare and get the bacon done? My husband said he saw the same steaks-on-a-skewer at Sam's Club. This is a steakhouse! Why would you serve this sub-par "filet" and not a hunk o'meat like we were expecting?3rd mistake. Server did not provide salt and pepper, we had to ask for it. No ketchup for my husband's fries either. (Frozen crinkle-cut.) They did provide various condiments for the steaks - chimichurri and something pink that tasted like ketchup and mayo. My husband dipped his fries in it, and also put it on his salad, since he had no dressing and the server did not come back very quickly with the missing ranch...4th mistake. Server did not ask to refill our drinks. (No water was provided, either.)There were other mis-steps but I can't remember them right now. My husband and I were laughing incredulously about this place, and we counted 6 problems.Despite all this, I still tipped him 21%. And one other tip for him - don't wrap your steaks in bacon without par cooking it first! I'm sure he ran back in and told the chef that. /s But by this time I was not - generous... oh, and the "lettuce and tomato salad" is shredded romaine with five slices of tomato. Hence the need for salt and pepper. The mashed potatoes were good, though. We will not be back.
