Danny's Restaurant

You are in the Heights in Laredo and looking for a clean, fast, safe restaurant with amazing service and great Tex-Mex food. You walk into Danny's and are rewarded with all. I wish I could give 8 stars‼

I was blessed to be there while I was in my two our break from the bus station cross street. The service from my waitress Melissa V was outstanding her attentiveness of service was on point. The breakfast was delicious, everything fresh even the coffee. I will definitely come back in my next trip-break. Thank you all!

Seared immediately, order taken promptly. Food was out quickly, important for a lunch break. Ordered a plate with steak, crispy beef taco, one enchilada, rice and beans.Everything tastes good. Had a screaming child in the next booth which was annoying but not the restaurant's fault as I was able to seat myself and should have chosen more carefully. Parents were oblivious and did nothing to correct behavior.I would recommend for a good lunch with good food and fast service.Second trip for lunch today. Ordered the Tampaquena Plate! It was awesome! They substituted chicken Mole enchiladas for the cheese ones that come on the plate per my request. I HIGHLY recommend this as they were very good. This place had great food at very reasonable prices!I highly recommend!!

This place has tons of flies and managers & staff don't do anything about it, i told the lady in the register and she said they couldn't kill the flies and I told her maybe after the shift all employees should dedicate time to do that. It's gross and you can't even eat comfortably.

My husband, his aunt, and I came here twice for breakfast. On our first visit, his aunt and I shared a chilaquiles with chicken and cheese plate and my husband ordered the Special breakfast. The chilaquiles were excellent although I did have to add some extra salsa to increase the flavor. The beans were pretty good as well. The flour tortillas were NOT homemade which was a huge disappointment! They were the kind that are ready to cook. In my opinion, they took a shortcut that resulted in a star deduction. I expected the real deal being so close to the border and all. The Special breakfast came with two buttermilk pancakes, two eggs, one bacon, and one sausage. The pancakes were damn good, nice & fluffy and yummy! The scrambled eggs were fresh and well prepared. The bacon and sausage were good. The iced tea tasted very fresh. I'm not sure if they used filtered water but it had a clean taste to it. On our second visit we all ordered tacos. My husband and his aunt both ordered two barbacoa tacos and I ordered a bacon and egg and also a bean and cheese with bacon. My husband said that his tacos were a bit underwhelming, definitely NOT worth the $4 per taco! The meat portion in the barbacoa tacos were average and the meat was very greasy. My bacon and egg taco was pretty good. The portion of bacon and eggs were generous, I could have made an extra taco. I was surprised to see little peices of bacon mixed in with the egg instead on a strip of bacon. The bean and cheese with bacon taco was just okay. The portion size was average. Overall, we might consider coming back but not for the tacos. I will stick to the chilaquiles and my husband will stick to a pancake meal. The service was great but the downfall to this place was the flour tortillas.

You are always greeted by friendly staff once you enter the building. The waitress was very polite and took our drink orders first then our food orders. I wanted to try something different this time and I ordered the patty melt. I was somewhat disappointment with the taste, but it was ok. The fries were crispy and good, but they could have added a little more fries. Not enough fries on the plate. Overall, Danny's restaurant is a great place and with delicious food.

When I visit home I like to eat at any of the Danny's Restaurants because they offer a taste of my childhood. The service and food are always consistently good and I am always sure I'll see a friend or relative dining on my visit. The portions are large and the taste, DELICIOUS!!

Staff was rude and the food was dry and obviously days old. We will not be returning here.

Went early in the morning after dropping the kids off at school. Horrible food. Horrible service
