I've been eating at this establishment for more than 10 years. While they do compete with El Patio and Taco Ole, they do offer their own unique style of cooking and menu items that we all keep going back for. Today, I went for breakfast. I had the barbacoa plate. Everything on the plate was delicious. The service was also great as I never had to ask for a coffee refill. They kept my cup full at all times. The owner was walking around and making sure all the tables were doing okay. It's always nice and cool inside these days with the heat being at it's hottest outside. Over all it was a great experience!

Title: A Letdown in Flavor and Consistency: Danny's Mexican Restaurant Falls ShortReview:I recently dined at Danny's Mexican Restaurant in Mission, Texas, expecting a memorable culinary experience. However, to my dismay, I left feeling disappointed and unsatisfied. It pains me to say that the quality of their food has taken a significant downturn, and when comparing it to the exceptional offerings at Taco Ole, the difference becomes even more evident.Let's start with the most crucial aspect: the food. At Danny's, the once-vibrant flavors that used to dance on the palate have become lackluster and dull. The dishes I ordered lacked the authentic Mexican flair I had come to expect. The carne asada was tough and overcooked, devoid of any tenderness or juicy goodness. The tacos were bland and unimaginative, leaving me longing for the vibrant flavors and carefully balanced seasonings that I have consistently enjoyed at Taco Ole.Moreover, consistency seems to have become a foreign concept at Danny's. On previous visits, I had experienced mixed results, but I was willing to give them another chance. Unfortunately, the inconsistency persisted. One visit, the portion sizes were meager and hardly filling, while on another occasion, they were excessive to the point of being wasteful. It's disheartening when a restaurant fails to deliver a consistent dining experience, leaving customers uncertain about what to expect each time they visit. In stark contrast, Taco Ole, the rival establishment just a stone's throw away, consistently offers delectable meals that showcase the true essence of Mexican cuisine. From their flavorful salsas to their perfectly seasoned meats, every bite at Taco Ole is a revelation. The quality and attention to detail in their food are commendable, providing a memorable and satisfying dining experience with each visit. While it saddens me to write a negative review about Danny's Mexican Restaurant, I believe in providing honest feedback to fellow diners. Until Danny's can regain the quality and consistency that they were once known for, I will continue to choose Taco Ole for my Mexican food cravings in Mission, Texas. This goes for all the Danny's locations. Sharyland was the last hope until they really gave us horrible quality food!

This place was highly recommended on various social media avenues so I was excited to try them. Unfortunately the chips were the only good thing on the menu. We ordered the botana mix for 2, the fajita was terrible no seasoning at all and the texture NOT fajitas. The chicken was undercooked and also lacked flavor. This was the worse botana I've ever had in the Valley. Skip this place, there are much better places and for better prices.

This is our 2nd time here and we will be back. Service was fast especially considering a busy Sunday after church. A steady stream of people coming and going. The bacon was especially good. Plenty of food to eat and the rancheros sauce had just the right amount of spiciness. Nothing to complain about.

Service was good. Presentation was good but the food was not spicy at all. Very disappointed. Ask for hot sauce or salsa. They have none with chili. Unbelievable for a Mexican place so everything was bland. Will not come back

Cashier at Danny's #3 in Sharyland that clocks in at 9 am eight short blond/brown light hair . Seems to question customers why we chose a particular waitress. Its none of her Business to question a customer as long as we already explained to the waitress why we did not chose her to wait on me. A loyal customer since 2000. Owners need to discipline her or move her to Danny s #2 on Bryan where a full time cashier is Needed. Just a suggestion.

We were Winter Texans for a number of years, residing at Americana R V Park in Mission. Danny's was one of our favorite restaurants. Our favorite on the menu was chicken fried steak with brown gravy . You knew that it was freshly made when you could hear the cook tenderizing the steak. It was the best ever, large servings , so tender Now back home, chicken fried steak comes from a food truck, No Way! Danny's we miss you , the great chicken fried steak and the Glorias Mexican candy.
