Danny’s Seafood House

I'll start off with tonight wasn't their best night. Typically this restaurant is a banger but our shrimp and fish were overcooked tonight. Overall the flavor was there and the food was very fresh. The servers were nice and everything came out promptly even with a bunch of families dining. We usually come here for the views and since the weather is nice this week we sat on the patio. Pro Tip: bug spray for the patio!! The restaurant has a huge fan outside and that helps a lot.

Damn Danny, we didn't get to this time around with the wife for her first time in Palacios. See you next time and give us tips for the big catches as we missed this trip.

This restaurant is located on the water and has a great outside patio to sit at and enjoy the view! Plus there are fans so it's not too hot even on a summer night. The service was fine, I was a little surprised when the hostess handed us our own menus and told us to pick where we wanted to sit, but this place is so laid back.The food was good, not the best seafood ever, but fair for the price. I was a little disappointed that many of their menu items were unavailable at the time, which made their small selection even smaller.

Danny's Seafood House is located near the water. They have indoor and outdoor seating. This was our first time eating here and we had a really great experience. The service and hospitality was superb. The staff was super friendly and the food came out pretty fast. We had ordered multiple butterfly shrimp plates, a cheese burger, and a trio plate. Everything came out hot and delicious. I really loved the fried shrimp and enjoyed the special dipping sauce and fries. The fried oysters were good too but I did not like the fried fish. All fried items were super crispy and crunchy. The fried fish fillet was too thin so when it was battered and fried, it dried out the fish and it was very tough to eat. The texture was like a crispy fish jerky. The corn and fries that came with the plate were good. Overall, we will definitely come back to visit and recommend this place! :)

We had the seafood platter and the shrimp basket. The food was delicious, flavorful and just the right amount. We enjoyed sitting on the patio. The staff was nice. Very nice place with great food. Very enjoyable. We will return when in the area.

I specifically went to Danny's for lunch. I had Vietnamese cold noodles and my husband had a fish plate. I lived my cold noodles. He said he lived his fish. Cute place right on the water. Good service too.

Slow Service, Limited Menu, Usually Sold Out Of Many Items11/2/24 Took a couple from the DFW metroplex that were in Palacios for a weekend of Food, Fun and Fishing for dinner. After being seated we waited an exceptionally long time for wait staff to recognize us. When we finally were asked what we would like to drink or order, she asked for a Dr. Pepper, (sorry ma'am we're out of Dr.Pepper?), He asked for a Coors Light, (sorry sir we are out of Coors Light?) At this point I intervened in disappointment and asked about the chalk board dinner specials specifically the "seafood platter thing" that everyone was interested in and, our young man waiter responded, by now embarrassed, Im sorry sir we are out of the crab cakes that are a part of the platter??? We got up and left, having now invested nearly 30-minutes there and getting nothing, we went to PMR, always reliable! Coors light and Dr. Pepper....Really! There is a grocery store just a few blocks away! Think way outside of the box and send someone down the street to replenish your inventory-sheeesh! I write this review because these types of occurrences have happened to us on several occasions at this establishment and, usually we are hosting guests that, being in a coastal town, want to go to a "Seafood Restaurant". If you want some beef and broccoli, theY usually have that?

I got the grilled shrimp poboy and it was the best sandwich ive had in my life. TEN OUT OF TEN RECOMMEND

Great food their sandwiches are really good! The ambiance is pretty chill You can eat inside or outside but it's great service!

84.00 dollars for food that ended up in the trash. Oysters were not edible.The fish was cut so thin that there was no fish in the breading, way over cooked. The rice tasted like spoiled fish.The shrimp was over cooked. Bad from the get go.
