Dr. Scott believes my 18 lb. dog got bit by a scorpion in my backyard in the middle of the night. The staff and techs were so quick to squeeze me in on a very busy surgery day for the doctor. Murphy looked like Will Smith with an allergic reaction in the movie "Hitch". They were open at 7:30 , the earliest of anybody around. I'm grateful my dog was back to normal in about 12 hours. Im new to the area and I am so thankful to find an outstanding Vet!

I honestly can not say enough positive things about Cross Point Veterinary Clinic in Taft, TX. I'm pretty new to the area, and live in a tiny town about 20+/- away. I noticed my big yellow lab wasn't acting like herself, and I knew I had to get to someone quickly. I called a Veterinarian in another, bigger city, and was told that they only took cash or checks. I needed my girl seen immediately, was willing to spend whatever it took, and needed to be able to use a card. I was able to stumble on to some unbelievably compassionate and kind people. I made our appointment online and was given the first thing they had available immediately. I didn't know that the day after her missed appt. (my fault) they would work us in, in between patients, in about 30 minutes. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Everyone was friendly. I guess Taft is a friendly little town. Unfortunately, my baby, Sammie, was examined and found to have Cancer. The Doctor, was so kind in the delivery of the news. He was very comforting, and allowed me the time to take it all in. It was that day that I had to make a decision to have her put to sleep. They allowed me to stay with her and hold her all the way to the time she left, and gave me all the time to spend with her. I left her there to be cremated.I am forever thankful for helping me help Sammie cross the Rainbow Ridge with dignity and love. She was ready to be picked up the next day. I have not been able to pick her up yet, as the grieving is still so strong. The staff have been so understanding and kind keeping her there until I am ready.I highly recommend this Clinic. These are amazing, animal-loving people.

5 stars is not enough for how great of a place Floerke Veterinary Clinic is. Dr. Cox is amazing and so is Ashley, the vet technician. I brought my beagle in because she wasn't feeling well and it turns out that she ate a part of her collar. Dr. Cox performed surgery the same day to remove the collar and they kept her for 4 days while she healed. Unfortunately every complication that can pretty much occur happened to our sweet girl and she just got done with her 3rd surgery in 2 weeks. Since she had surgery on a Friday, Dr. Cox took her home with him for the weekend so he can monitor her. We still don't know what the outcome will be, but regardless I can't thank Dr. Cox enough for all that he has done. He has gone above and beyond for our little Harlee by giving us daily updates and even sending us pictures of her. Dr. Cox is a great vet and Ashley is such a compassionate vet technician. I will continue to recommend them to anyone that I know. I wish that I could give them 10 stars because that's what they truly deserve.

Unbelievable customer service and very professional as well as endearing. They took care of my parents and I when it came to euthanizing their fur baby Sadie. Gave me all the time I needed to say good bye before and after the euthanization.

Thanks to Dr. Cox and his amazing staff for once again showing how veterinary care should be.First. diagnosis the situation, then openly discuss the option with the one bringing their furbaby to them for care.Once a decision is made, agreeable to all after the Questions answered/ options discussed and decision made part is concluded, all is carried out with the utmost compassion, patience and well being of the furbaby.Dr. Cox has obviously taken great pains to chose his staff to reflect his own beliefs, because they are all amazing. You will never feel rushed or patronized, you will get the best possible care from people who know their jobs and love what they do a d your precious furbaby will be all the better for it

One of my dogs (adult dog) was hit by a pickup, just outside of our gate. Her hearing was bad and she just walked out in front of a pickup coming down our road.I was able to call Cross Point Vet just out of Taft, and bring her straight in. Not only did they send staff out to get her out of my vehicle for me, but they immediately saw her and treated her. When it was time to leave, they had two staff bring her back to my vehicle as well.WOW, now that is CARE and COMPASSION. That's what its all about for our 4 legged family members! KUDOS TO CROSS POINT VET CLINIC THE VET AND ALL THE STAFF. What an excellent and professional job they performed. I can't say how blessed I am to have such a vet service like Cross Point. Now, for the rest of the story and the not so good news, and no, the dog should be fine. Due to my location I started traveling toward a Vet in Beeville and called them on the way to advise of the emergency I had and what it entailed I was told the Vet didn't have the time!!!Although a little further for me, Thank God for Cross Point Vet, when I called them, and told them of the emergency and what happened, there was NO hesitation what so ever, they said SURE, bring her on by as soon as you can. Again NO hesitation. That's how you should be treated as well as your animal for a situation like that.My thanks to the Vet and the Vet's staff for all they did. Fancy that, there are still GREAT people in this world, you just got to know where to go to find them.In my opinion, If you ever need VET services, look no further than Cross Point Veterinary Clinic. There is none better in my book!

We have been taking our two dogs to Cross Point veterinary, since beforeDr Florke retired. Within the past couple of months, we called for an appt. for our labordoodle on a Fri morning. Wanted to get her in thatafternoon The lady said it would be a $25 extra walkin fee. My husbandtold her to forget it, then hung up. A little later, she called back andsaid she set up the appt. for a regular office visit fee. Our12 yr old mini Schuanzer, has been sick over the weekend. We called this morning for an appt and was told that there was a $25 fee, over the reg. office visit, for walkins. My husband said forget it and we are taking him to another vet. Since my dogs have been patients forover 2 yrs., why are they considered walkins, especially after we call and ask for an appt. Do they do this to anyone else?We just feel they are just trying to charge us more money, for no reason Riley and Bailey's Mom

Great hidden jewel! I was tired of the Portland Vets high prices, forcing to purchase meds from clinics vs online (heart-worm meds online) etc. Found this place and they're super friendly, knowledgeable and great vets!
