Ground venison was good. "Air tight" bags of dried venison sausage all lost seal within a week of pick up causing freezer burn on almost all of it. Bad communication and unfriendly staff.

My family and I have used Country Slaughter House to process wild hogs and deer for more than ten years. They can provide and understand any cuts of meat, and they will remember you by name, year after year, when you start using their services. As a bonus, they keep detailed books of records on your previous orders, so they can easily help you decide on how you want your game to be processed. Your game must be field-dressed, but I would expect that of any qualified hunter. They have a great number of options for fully smoked and/or cured meats, and they are even apologetic to you when calling you to pick up you meat, if there were any problems with the processing (sometimes, a hunter will leave a bit of bile while dressing their animal, and it ruins some cuts of meat...this should be a lesson to the hunter, but CSH has always been apologetic to me, upon my family's errors). Check their website for regular hours of operation. For times that are out of regular deer-season, they are glued to their phone and can make meetup times for you to deliver wild-game. I recently inquired about the TX "Hunters for the Hungry" program, as we needed a few more does to be culled from properties. CSH keeps a list of their former customers (people whose husband/wife has passed, or is too-old to hunt for on reason or another, people who have lost their lease, and other reasons), and you can also donate to their own private-program. I've, personally, donated to this program, as I think the meat-products will be better-used by those who know how to cook a well-handled and well-harvested wild-game-animal.
