Country Omelette

Everything is tasty...especially grilled biscuits...the waiter was very attentive...the restaurant was homey...Love it!

Yummy yummy in my tummy. This review is for my first and second visit. Food was perfect. Warm and simple. In my first visit i came with my daughters on a Saturday morning. Super busy. Yet they try their best to give you the best service. Second visit I came with my husband. We sat at the kitchen bar. Nice waiters at 7am. Both visits were pleasant. Our family might just make it our morning breakfast stop.

When traveling for work, I like to find local establishments to visit & support. I found the "COUNTRY OMELETTE" for breakfast via Yelp. Reasonable prices, Friendly and attentive servers, and a menu of choices. I would definitely come back her for breakfast but probably not prefer the "country breakfast #116 on menu). I'm soooo stuffed --- need a nap now.

I like to eat...I like to eat at local restaurants when I travel (I travel a lot) I'm what the Mexicans call, " Gordo Gringo" fat white man). My favorite breakfast place in the world is Russell's Marina in NOLA. This place however, is a VERY close 2nd. During my first visit, I thought, "not bad, I'd eat here again" but the 2nd and now 3rd my life changed. Not like saved by Jesus changed, more like, "I need a post breakfast nap so that I can dream about their breakfast" You might ask, what changed? Grilled biscuits and sausage gravy. First bite, I saw the light! Breakfast salvation that changed me forever. In closing, when in McAllen this is a must!

Last time i was here... ordered a Machacado plate not good at all! Today ordered a Garden Omelette with ham! Oh my lord!!! It was super delicious! With the salsita and aguacate on the side! Yessss very damn good!

2.5 stars: This place just isn't the same since the original owners sold & then the original location burned down (formerly located across from Melba's dance studio & old Sun Harvest).The menu has pretty much stayed the same but, the food (lunch) is always cold or lukewarm. Your safest bet is to stick w/the omelettes or a cold sandwich. This place is mostly for the older, retired population. The only reason I occasionally come is so my Mom can catch up w/old friends.

One word amazingEverything on the menu is just fantastic the best food in town. We eat here more than20 times a month.

The service is bad. Wait staff will not refill coffee or take an additional order unless they are your waiter. There is alot of yelling behind the kitchen counter which is not very professional. Tried giving them a second and third chance and same bad service. Food is good if your able to get your order in by your waiter. Owners need to step in to fix this sinking ship.

I had not been here in years, probably since I was little and to the previous location. I took my boys today and it was great. The service was great and so was the food.
