Corralejos

So we've watched this place being built for a year and when it finally opened yesterday we decided to try it out.It is a sit down restaurant. Our waiter was obviously new but trying very hard. They only serve Pepsi products (bummer).The chips were good and the salsa had a nice little kick to it and a flavor we couldn't quite once - not 'wow' salsa but pretty good.We tried the Al pastor street tacos and they had great flavor - would definitely order again. The borracho beans had a good flavor to them. We also tried the grilled spicy chicken (I forget the actual name). The chicken was okay - no spice to it at all but it was grilled chicken. The flour tortillas were very thick and fluffy - I'm guessing they are not made on-site, but they were good. The refried beans were very good - nice flavor to them.Overall the food wasn't great but it was good and we would probably give them another visit soon. Now - for the OCD part of me - the menu had a LOT of spelling errors - doesn't impact the food but probably should have somebody re-do it.With a few tweaks here and there this place could get 5 stars.

This is my new favorite place when I want a good meal in a nice environment. They have a large variety of menu items including Mexican food, steaks, hamburgers and desserts. There is also a full bar and live music Friday and Saturdays. The environment is calming and the servers friendly and accommodating to special requests. My only comment is that the place needs better decor and less lighting. It is too stark and bright keeping it from being cozy and customers from hanging out. All these can be remedied and not enough to keep me from good food and great service.

We ordered carne Guisada tacos. My husband's tacos tasted ok. But mine had a spoiled taste. Not sure as to why as we ordered the same. I let the waiter know. But they did nothing. Of course i didnt eat the tacos. But was still charged 4.99 a taco.
