Every Wednesday Corpus Christi holds a Farmer's Market downtown at the Art Center (100 N Shoreline) from 5:00pm-8:00pm. It's in a beautiful location right along the waterfront, during the warmer months you can enjoy the beautiful view. You'll find local and organic products including fruit, vegetables, kombucha, meat, lotions, jewelry, cheese, popcorn, juices, jams, etc. They usually have music (local musician) and a food truck on site. Added bonus is that you can walk around the Art Center gallery and enjoy the artwork for free! I like to grab a kombucha from the serfer brew booth (guava hibiscus is my favorite) and walk around checking out the various stands (they often have have samples available). Today I purchased the most deliciously sweet and impeccably clean (organic) strawberries. Love the products at this farmer's market and I love supporting the local economy especially small business owners and people who are ethically and responsibly sourcing their products - including meat. Wednesday has become my favorite day to visit CC!

We LOVE the downtown farmer's market. They set up near the Tango Tea Room on Wednesday evenings (4:30-6:30pm, in the shorter, fall/winter days; 5-7pm in the longer spring/summer days). This is a veggie-heavy market, which is great. Tons of in-season, organic veggies. And eggs! And grass-fed/pastured meats! And local honey and pollen! We basically get all our veggies here now and a good deal of our meat. They've also done a fantastic job with their social media presence. On market day, they list on facebook what veggies and other wares their vendors will be bringing. Which makes it so much easier to decide if you'll find something you like/need. Two big thumbs way up. Check 'em out.

My husband and I moved to Corpus about a month ago. We're most recently from Seattle, WA where there are farmer's markets EVERYWHERE. The entire city has a certain level of environmental consciousness that we aligned with; but we weren't exactly sure what to expect here in Corpus. Must say - we're a little geeked out about the downtown farmer's market - which in a couple of weeks will be 2 blocks from where we live!! In a short amount of time, we've met some of the most inspiring people we've ever met in our various journeys to different cities - many of whom participate in this market. We're thrilled to have a place to purchase good quality, local, organic produce and meats. We're also thrilled to be meeting people who are invested in where they live and see the gems of Corpus that it seems a lot of locals have grown worn eyes for. The farmer's market is definitely one of the gems of this town. We plan to be regular shoppers and hope to get more involved ourselves. Go, go, go, go go to this market!

Very small. One of the only booths with vegetables for sale had a very long line. Would love to see this market grow. Just not enough vendors. But if you are up for adopting a pet the Barnyard Santuary is out there and the director and the pets are awesome!
