My experience with Comfort Design has been outstanding. No, they are not going to give you the lowest bid, but the value of good equipment, well installed, for the money spent is some of the best I have experienced anywhere. The reviewer who claims they "bend you over" either overstates or has an axe to grind. Comfort Design performs work to a very high level of craftsmanship, they install redundant safeguards, and they stand behind their work. When they installed my system, I discovered the owner up in the attic working right along side his employees. It doesn't get more involved than that. Their maintenance program is a good value as well. In addition, being on the island, if you have an issue they show up fast. I love Port Aransas, but some tradesmen take advantage of the fact that your choices are limited. Comfort Design would do well in a highly competitive large market, let alone on the island. I'm and engineer. I teach engineering at a major university. I believe I am in a pretty good position to judge, and I recommend them highly.

Derrick and the crew have been amazing to work with.We had an old HVAC system replaced including new ducts and vents. The team made short work of the job and were very professional.Post installation, I cannot underscore the level of service provided by the company. They went above and beyond to address our every issue that came up (not related to the install).We are the most discerning of customers with a very challenging installation. They came out multiple times at no cost to us to check out various issues (we had a contractor that covered the new condenser with plastic, left the plastic on and ran the AC - ugh!)Lastly, they just finished up installing a fresh air intake and dehumidifier, as usual great quality work!I cannot recommend Comfort Design enough as a great HVAC company to work with.

I have to agree with the first reviewer about price. For the service I needed (a very common, normally inexpensive repair) I paid between 4 and 5 times what the service cost would be in central TX.

I have used Ken and his team for years! As a property manager it is so important to have trusted service providers - I have been able to call at all hours and receive top notch service. Vacation Rental guests don't want to be at the beach in heat. Thank you for all your hard work!
