Color Bar Hair Salon

I have been to many hair salons in my days and I can tell you, that this is the worst salon I have ever been to!!To start off when I got there the lady doing my hair said "I was about to cancel your appointment thinking you didn't want your hair highlighted" mind you I arrived 30 min early for my appointment! Oh and this being my second appointment made because they cancelled my first one earlier that morning because they thought it would take to long! I'm a boy and didn't tell them that as I have a high pitched voice, so they thought it was a girl which is fine but why would you cancel an appointment because you think it's gonna take you to long? Second they ( every stylist in the salon) were very unprofessional and talked about the weirdest things while working on clients hair! 3rd I stated I wanted platinum hair, I fully expected to walk out of the salon with platinum hair, sadly that wasn't the truth! They told me that from my color it would be very easy to do my hair platinum, mind you the denied my first two photos and said they couldn't get my hair to do that, so I settled! The hair color I received was far from platinum, I walked out of the salon with yellow hair. 4 and last thing, they denied my a haircut because, they lady that did the cuts wasn't there, um hello are you not all cosmologists? But I scheduled my color as a color and cut, meaning after you receive color or before, they will cut your hair! At the end she told me my hair was to fragile to cut, and I said okay well I'm just going to go to another barber to get it cut, and she said that should be fine! Are you kidding me? So I walked out with a horrible color and no haircut and it looked awful just awful! This is a horrible place to go I really don't recommend it!

Anastasia was the stylist who did my hair and she was very patient and friendly when working with me. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and I think she nailed it.

I'm a very satisfied new customer!!After being with my stylist for about 10 years I was very fearful of trying out a new place but I was immediately put at ease by Jay and Marissa. The girls are young and energetic and they know their stuff!! I walked out feeling like a new lady! I love my color (base to cover greys, and highlights).A bit pricey up front but the maintenance will be less costly and it's still less expensive than most of the other salons I called.

I would not recommend the Color Bar for this reason. I went in to fix what was done the day before and after 6 1/2 hrs the color was worse than it started out. Wanted brown and now it's orange. It was over priced and the staffs customer service was below par. I will not be returning!

I had several great experiences here, but one bad one will stop me from going back. I was turned brunette when I wanted to remain blonde with a few low lights. It's a drastic change when you get turned brunette from almost bleach blonde. I was not offered any sort of accommodation even though it was obvious I was very upset about it. I was expecting some sort of discount, but I had to pay the full price which was almost $200. Hopefully in the future they will offer some sort of discount to those who aren't completely satisfied.

Time is the meeting in the owner is Marissa she is very nice I get my nails done with Yoli she is great and I go every other week to see this lovely ladies and get waxed by Marissa but they have plenty of hairstylist and it is just so cute in there

Will schedule appointment just to cancel her services. Not a reliable business in the city of Corpus Christi. Customer service ladies at the front will lie to help the owner Marissa and not the customers they are serving. I would NOT recommend to customers in the city or visiting.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I'm so mad right now. I went in and asked them to lighten up my hair to a blonde from a reddish color. Needless to say I trusted them with my hair and they way over did it. My hair is now over processed, waxy and beyond damaged. I went in the next day after I got my hair done And asked them why it felt so bad they said it was because my shampoo and conditioners were expired. What a joke. I went to another salon after this to ask them why it felt this way and what I can do to make my hair better and they said it was beyond repair and they had to cut 2 inches of the damage off. I paid a lot of money to them and expected them to be professionals, I was sadly mistaken. Definitely will not be returning.

Not impressed. I paid over $200 plus a tip for something I could have gotten somewhere else for a cheaper price. Wish I would have picked a different salon, don't mind paying good money for hair but I want to love the results. I was in shock and highly disappointed when she was blow drying my hair and it didn't look much different that when I came in. Im not new to lightening my hair so that's why I was shocked with the results.
