Coffee Waves - Port Aransas

Best stop after the beach - good coffee, ice cream and baked snack to boost energy after being thrown around in the waves. The service was hospitable and the atmosphere was family friendly. Something for everybodyThe gelato was exceptional - partial to fruit flavors, but we had the strawberry lemonade and mango mascarpone and both were delicious!

This place will never not rate 5 stars from me. Every time we go we encounter great staff and foods/beverages.

Visiting Port Aransas from the DFW area. We took our Casita RV out for its first trip. We forgot creamer for our coffee machine so decided to get some coffee at the local coffee shop. This was close to the RV park and had good ratings. Place looks nice walking in. There were 5 young women working behind the counter so they must have been expecting to be busy. I ordered two macchiatos and they were great. Only concern is I went up to the counter and no one even greeted me for over a minute. So beverages were great. Just need to be more friendly.

Not a coffee drinker, so just stopped in for some lunch to go. My wife steers clear of dairy, so they told us the lunch paninis were pre-made,and removing the cheese would take away other ingredients, but they were able to more easily modify the breakfast ones. She got the ham and egg panini, and I opted for the Turkey. Both were good; not the best I've had and, certainly nowhere close to the worst. The fact they're pre-made affects it a little? At any rate, it was still a solid choice. We also got a bag of peanut butter energy balls. They forgot to put them in our bag. But we caught that before we walked out. Lots of muffins, small cakes, and gelato options. Obviously, lots of coffee choices as well. Friendly staff and very casual atmosphere with ample seating.

There was a line when we came in, but it moved very quickly! The drinks were ready within 3 minutes, the food within 5. The matcha is automatically made with almond milk and honey, and it was so good. The tomato basil panini has goat cheese which brings it to another level. There was lots of cozy seating even on a Saturday (off season, but still). Highly recommend.

Always a long line, always worth it!Always a stop when in Port A! We love the coffee and breakfast sandwiches. They're really good. I haven't tried the other sandwiches, but they also look good. They have a big assortment of gelato too!!

Taking a long weekend in Port Aransas when it's not the summer - needed to start the morning with coffee! Yelp highly rated this place and I see why - great meeting space, lots of coffee options including sugar free syrups, and a large assortment of pastries, sandwiches and gelato. Place had the typical assortment of folks: locals, people getting some work done and tourists. Good mix!Came back later that evening for gelato and wasn't dispppointed. :)

Update 11-22-2023Nice morning stop at Coffee Waves this AM. Only coffees this time, will be back later for the gelato and baked goods. We always have great coffee here, made to order fresh, and super hot! Very nice decor, cozy, and always crowded, but the line moves fast! Service is outstanding too, always friendly and patient with those of us who don't know the "coffee shop lingo." LOL Highly recommend Coffee Waves in Port A for a great cup of coffee, great baked goods and awesome gelato!

Ordered a breakfast, egg and cheese on a croissant and it was delicious. The cheese had the perfect melt and the eggs were just right. I got a Yuzu hot tea, which was also yummy. The muffins look like regular muffins, but they are so incredibly delicious. We ended up getting a blueberry muffin that had a cream filling on the inside, and it was divine. The service was great. There's also a decent amount of room to sit and eat. It was a little too early for me to get some gelato, but there are so many gelato flavors! I will most probably be back to try their gelato!

TLDR: good vibes, great coffee, and fantastic gelato Service is like starbucks I think. Idk I never go to coffee shops.
