Charlie's Corona Bar and Grill

Looking for a place to eat dinner on our first night in Laredo, on Black Friday no less, I came across Charlie's. Driving up to it is a little intimidating. There are bars on every window and a bit rundown down but the parking lot had a ton of cars. That speaks volumes! We were greeted and told we could sit anywhere, other than reserved spots since there was a band starting at 8pm. The band was a huge plus.They brought chips and salsa and we ordered some margaritas. Just a note, they don't do Cadillac. The were good, not great. Same with the Pina Colada. My husband ordered the crispy tacos and I the tres enchiladas with a salad. The salad was all iceberg lettuce with an interesting dressing with a tangy flair. The enchiladas were good but the beans dried out. My husband wasn't crazy about the tacos.We stayed for the band which consisted of one guy. Regardless, he was fun and did all genres of music.Overall, it was a great first night experience. Thanks Charlie! We enjoyed metting you too!

Cozy side-of-the-road mom-and-pop. Family style Mexican restaurant. Very friendly service. Tortilla chips came out fast, hot, fresh, and crunchy. Recommend the English cut ribs, but all the dishes will not disappoint. They accept American Express.

Nice little spot to get some good lunch. The menu has a lot of variety. I was actually impressed with it, and the food is great. The service is fast and friendly. Small parking lot behind the restaurant. My steak was medium rare topped with mushrooms and onions, I loved it. Their home dressing is awesome! I was glad the Italian dressing was gone, so I was kinda forced to eat it, but it was worth it.

Great service makes everything better. Charlie's customer service was exceptional. T-bone steak was thin but cooked to my liking and seasoned well. Fries were great. The chips taste fresh and the salsa was good. Really enjoyed the house salad. Great meal!

This bar restaurant a great find. Great food and service. Beer was ide cold too. I'll be back.

AWFUL SERVICE!!!! I placed an order and after 45 mins of waiting we decided to leave. The staff is slow and the "manager" claimed it was the kitchen's fault. He was very arrogant and did not apologize. If you would like a steak go elsewhere do not waste any time in this place. Also, there were bugs all over the side of booth.

I've been coming here for about 32 years or so! Talk about consistency! I love it. Yes, it's a hole in the wall, but the food is great! I've had the same awesome server all these years. The food? Order anything. It's all good!

Cute restaurant. I come for the enchiladas and live music and it's always a swell time. Staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Excellent food and excellent service! So many choices on the menu that if you don't know what you want, they'll have something for your appetite. First time here and will be back!
