Food was a little different than Tex mex. good breakfast. Homemade flour tortillas.

This is the best place in Yoakum to have breakfast. The tortillas are fresh and house-made and the menu is authentic. We also enjoy their lunch offerings as well. The enchiladas are great! This place is homey with a homey atmosphere. It is Yoakum's best secret in food.

My sisters are locals and regulars at this spot. They recommended the barbacoa but I ended up deciding on the chicken flautas. I was pleased, it was simple, but good. The chicken was not dry at all, pretty moist and it was well seasoned. It came with rice and beans which both taste very home made. They also have home made corn and flour tortillas, so good. The service is fair, I have no complaints about that at all. I also recommend the home made limonada, freshly squeezed sweet lime water! Yummy!

TERRIBLE SERVICE AND FOOD!!!!!I worked at this place about 10 years ago and the food was really good, I had not been there ever since, but I assumed that now that there is so much competition in Yoakum the place would have gotten so much better. NOPE! We got there and the waitress arrived took our drinks. All of us ordered Horchatas and It took 15 min for them to come (we were the only tables there other than the owners family who were there eating) when the drinks finally came I was so disappointed to see that it was the instant drink and not the homemade kind. I then also asked about getting chips because those were also not brought to us after 20 min, when they finally arrived the chips were stale and super oily from being reheated several times.Then the food finally arrived I got my plate and took a bite of the meat and it had no flavor I was fixing to try the enchiladas and there was a LONG HAIR, I handed the plate back to the waitress and told her about it, she asked if I would like another plate like that one, I shook my head and said no don't worry about it just cancel my order. The owners or managers never came by to apologize or anything (I have also known them for many years) and I was charges full price for everything else except my plate. I will never go back to this place and would not ever recommend it to anyone it.
