Cattails

Best surprise I ever tasted. We stopped up the road at a place we thought had coffee. Giving up we started down the road and I found this on yelp. We stopped with little confidence in it having coffee. We were so wrong. I got an iced honey latte ($3.25) and my husband got a toffee crunch mudslide frappe ($5.25). Both were amazing and well priced. We have saved this place for a revisit as soon as we come back to the area! Also the barista was the kindest sweetest woman too.

New Name is. ......Quaint coffee shop with delicious pastries. Also serving light breakfasts and lunch sandwiches. Perfect place to meet and enjoy the morning or brunch with friends. No heavy menu items at all. However they prepare Gourmet Meals to cook and serve at home. The cooler next to the door socks ready made meals to take and bake. Pastries are made fresh daily and the perfect accompaniment for the fresh brewed coffee.Great place!

Thanks for organizing the full moon and cicadas tonight! This is such a great place, ultra soft beds, cookies, and a great outdoor deck. Love Cattails, keep supporting great local businesses like this hotel!

Every time I stop in for a coffee its been great. Nice lady working there also. Nothing bad to say about any of my experiences there.

Went in on 8/21. We were trying to grab a latte for my wife on the way to the beach. Everything on route was closed on Mondays. We stopped up the road at a restaurant yelp mistakenly said had coffee and was told we'd have to back track30 min to get anything. We decided that wasn't happening and moved on. My wife got back on yelp and was searching the area one more time when she stumbled on a little place right down the road. We went in not expecting much if anything in the way of options. Yet, to our suprize, there was a good sized menue for coffee drinks alone. I had a fappe and my wife had a honey latte. Both were well priced and tasted amazing. The barista was a sweet lady who had worked there for years. The experience has us wanting to return to try out there rooms for a getaway soon. We will definitely be back!

Meh. The store is super cluttered. The coffee bar is nice but way overpriced. If you're looking for a frappacino or a latte in Matagorda then this is the only place but Stanley's has great coffee for a lot less.

We were deployed for Emergency Operations for hurricane Harvey. We were having difficulties finding a place to stay and base our operations. The owner and the ladies working at Cattails were very accommodating. They assisted us to their fullest capabilities. I am very satisfied with their service and I highly recommend staying at their lodge.

We loved Cattails. The best coffee chatting with the friendliest of people and did I mention the yummy Matagorda salsa or other goodies we picked up. It is the best shop in town.

Very nice blonde lady working the counter (owner?), quite a bit of clothing in this store as well as shoes, nic-nac type things, even a nice homemade soap. I come here for the coffee as they have an esspresso machine, lattes were excellent, iced Americano was alright but was a little too bitter, regular house coffee was way too weak (but who comes to a place with an esspresso machine for pot coffee?! ). Super cute store and set up, they have a rock parking lot with a huge teepee outside, cabins and a nice wood porch. Very nice place in Matagorda.
