DO NOT STAY THERE! Rooms are in need of repair/updating. Several lights, if they did work, did not have shades or covers over the bulbs. Owner keeps a close eye on guests knowing who/when they come and leave to the point of being an invasion of privacy. You get what you pay for,, spend a little more and stay at Motel 6.

My heart sank when I saw the room. The staff is friendly enough but my room was not ready when I came to check in at 5:00 and at 10 am in the morning they came knocking in hopes we had already checked out. he amenities are almost nonexistant. A coffee maker, a table or a second chair would have been nice. A community blow dryer was available on request. The room was minimal but it was cheap.

Stayed here and was very happy with the size and cleanliness of the rooms for the price. Awesome people, great energy. Adorable little garden up front to enjoy!

Across the street from The Yardarm Restaurant is a plus. Close to TAMU CC is convenient. When I stay in CC, it is my go-to. Inexpensive, but convenient. If you can overlook the "run down" aspects, It is a gem.

price and value, good location and amenities (kitchenette) hard to beat, while no pool, service and cleanliness a plus, 2 nights there recently for 2 queens @ 149.50 ttl., it's simple, but nice, outside picnic area w/ grill and some covered parking, walmart 2 miles and lots of parks along Ocean Drive, Bayfront 2 miles north. Recommended.

You get what you pay for. This motel is cheap, but has a great location. The room was clean, the beds aren't necessarily comfortable - but better than sleeping in the sand! A/C works fine. No complaints - as long as you know going in that this isn't a Hampton Inn. Nice flat-screen HD TV, but no internet.

owner was nice enough to cancel my booking..I was given the key for room 11... 5-7 mins after being inside the room.. I decided to leave because room was infested with fleas!.. thank God I inspected room before bringing in my belongings... you get what you pay for and lesson learned.. Highly recommend, contracting pest control.

Just under $50 a night and a $10 deposit for my little dog. Hey, you just can't beat the price or the pretty central location on Ocean Drive. The room was clean, the staff was super friendly, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioner nice-n-cool, and there was a nice, large area where I could let my darling doggies do the "necessary". I asked for some bags to do "potty patrol"after my dogs and, it was instantly granted. Only change I would ask for : a ceiling fan.I get hot really easily.

I really wanted to like this place. Especially after meeting the nice family that owns and operates it. However... over the course of my 4 night stay, too many problems piled up. I would not stay there again.First of all, it wasn't terribly clean. I *have* seen worse, but still. It failed the white sock test. Just a little bit walking around with shoes off turned my socks almost black. Yuck. It appeared to be recently renovated, but they hadn't done a very good job with the paint. Lack of attention to a detail like that is representative of other details they overlooked. Like... providing more coffee and cups each day. There was no phone or clock in the room, and when I googled the phone number, to ask for more supplies, the number just rang and rang... didn't even reach voice mail. The TV was rather awful, the beds were very hard, there was no vent in the bathroom (so it got very muggy, our swimsuits didn't even dry when hung up), and the worst of all was the A/C unit. There was no way to adjust the temp, it was just on low or high. Or off. When it got cold our last two days, the heater was also just on or off. I spent our last night waking up every hour, to turn it on, and then off again, when it was sweltering. I was glad to wake up so often, though, since our door blew open at one point. I had the chain on, but the latch hadn't caught. That was a problem our entire stay... making sure the door shut properly before leaving. The shower was next-level horrible... it took about 3 minutes to warm up, and then would continue warming up until it reached lava-like heat. When I attempted to add some cold water to the mix, it would instantly return to ice. Speed showers were a must.To their credit, the towels were very soft and the wifi was excellent.I really liked the price for this motel, but would happily pay more for a more comfortable stay.
