I attended an event here on Thursday, and the vibe was fantastic! The DJ kept the energy up with great music, the food was solid, and the drinks were flowing all night. The tostadas and carajillos were definite standouts--I'd absolutely order them again!

Huge place that on the surface looks nice and our waitress was very nice. The chips and salsa were just fine, but nothing exciting or unique compared to the multitudes of other Tex-Mex restaurants I've been to. We ordered a pitcher of regular margarita that came in a basic plastic pitcher that didn't quite match the niceness of the ambience, and to be honest, the flavor was quite underwhelming. If I had ordered another, I would have tried a flavor, but we didn't stay that long and by the end, I would t have expected much from it. My three other friends all seemed to enjoy their meal. However, I ordered the spinach, enchiladas and have probably never had such a tasteless meal in my life. I started with a bite of the black beans and dismissed the lack of flavor as my first bite and then tried the rice, but also found there to be not much flavor to it. The spinach inside the enchilada was as bland as what had thawed from the freezer and then put inside the tortillas without any attempt to add any spice (or even salt?!) to it. They were covered and his little green sauce as possible, which also had zero flavor. Even the cota cheese on top couldn't save this dish. I had a friend try and she agreed there was almost nothing to taste. I ate one of the three enchiladas only to get enough food, but filled myself up on the chips and salsa in queso (also quite basic but at least flavorful). I did tell the waitress that I was unhappy with a meal and she offered to take it back and have it remade, but I wasn't interested in the same dish being made again so I just asked to take it home. I'm not one to waste food and was able to salvage it with some salt, garlic powder, and some, hot sauce. You can imagine my surprise when I was charged for the full meal when receiving the check. At this point I didn't want to complain so I paid full price and will not be back again.

Uniquely Mexican - beautiful decor - great food - well served - polite and courteous. It's an experience to come here and I was raised in Guadalajara so I know how to tell apart good from bad Mexican food!Saved the best for the last - the Mexican pan dulce and pastries were absolutely divine!

Start with drinks. I love the flight of margaritas. It comes with four, accompanied with a live sparkler...really cool. The food is delicious. In the four-five times that I have dined here, the food always came out hot.Want dessert? They have an onsite bakery with Mexican pastries. YUMMY!

Haven't came across a great restaurant like this is a while. Ambiance is great! Wait wasn't long at all. Food was greatness. Not one complaint on the food or ambience of the restaurant. Lighting was great. Service was great, the only downfall is that towards the end of dinner our waitress was nowhere to be found. I did have to go to the hostess to find her. Besides that! I definitely recommend this one for any occasion!

Casa Maria Restaurant & Bakery in San Marcos is a great space for food and drinks for your party, no matter the size. There is plenty of room for everyone. The pastor tacos were delicious and very flavorful. I enjoyed the drinks and queso too. And make sure you save room for some sweets from the bakery.

The restaurant has a nice presence and the food is pretty good. I ordered the beef fajitas and only got two flour tortillas. I didn't think much of it because one can always request more. Ray told me that I would be charged extra for every tortilla I ordered. I asked him to notice that two tortillas filled to the top doesn't even get you halfway through your ingredients. Ray was short and curt about not caring what I thought about the shortage. Ray made it clear he would fight it out if necessary. So be prepared folks. You may need to bring your own tortillas from home to cover your meal! Ray is not sophisticated enough to manage this restaurant. Buyer beware.

I've been to this restaurant multiple times and usually, it's been a good experience. However, today was disappointing. The food was quite plain compared to previous visits. Additionally the olive in my michelada looked like it had been re-used and bitten. which was concerning. I hope this was just an off day, but it's something they should definitely address to maintain their usual high standards.
