First off, we've been to your New Braunfels location probably six or seven times over the last year and never any major issues. Sometimes, food didn't come right, but was fixed immediately. Our waiters were great for every single time we went, especially Bugs. I believe his name is Bugs. He was always professional and nice to my family. On several occasions, it was just myself, my girlfriend, her daughter, and my daughter and never any complaints, especially with Bugs. The food and drinks have always been great. We trusted that the service would be the same each time we've visited your restaurant, so while dining a few weeks ago, we decided to book the private room on Saturday night(girlfriend's daughter's birthday)! They said a minimum of $150 to book the private room, which was no problem at all because we spent that much just with a party of 4. The size of the party was going to be 10, so we definitely wanted the room. The private room had a TV, which was perfect for watching football during our birthday meal. We confirmed the name on the reservation, first and last name, and the time at that time as well as several times during the week before Saturday. We also requested Buggs as well! My girlfriend also called on Friday just to confirm everything was good to go! I have owned a Limousine service for over 25 years, so I know that confirmations are important!!Saturday night issuesAfter a full day of Birthday activities, it was time to relax and enjoy a nice meal at your restaurant. I loaded everyone in the limo and arrived at the restaurant for 8:30pm. I dropped off everyone so I can go to HEB to pick up the cake. When getting the cake, my girlfriend texted me saying someone else was in the room!!! I asked, were they finishing up, she said no, they were in the process of dessert!!! We had the room reserved for 830pm They told her that someone with her exact first and last name came in at 6pm, ate dinner, left, then another party came in and reserved it! Come on!!!! I know what happened and there was no reason to lie about this. I'm sure a large party came in and they didn't turn them away. I'll get back to that later in this email!So, when I get there, all of my gf daughter's guests are sitting on chairs. As I get there, 845pm, they're just bringing the birthday cake into the private room to say happy birthday to the guests that took our room!!!!! We're approaching 9pm and the party is still in the room!!! This was a special day and I reserved that room specifically for my party! I decided to load everyone back into the limo and head elsewhere(Adobe restaurant) in New Braunfels. Immediately after hearing that they gave our room away, I called Adobe to make sure we can actually salvage this night and have a nice birthday dinner. Well, they did! We made it over there before they closed and they accommodated us! This was a very disappointing experience for myself and my family as well as embarrassing. Getting back to the "not turning down a party" In the limo business, I know from experience from other limo companies, if a large job comes in, that job will never be turned away! This is exactly what happened in this case. We were scheduled for 8:30pm. Someone came in probably around 6-630pm. No time limit, so they didn't think they were going to take that long! Well, in this case, they did! Limo services do that all the time. Bigger job comes in, they will just push the smaller job aside with an excuse!! I know this because I've had clients call us when limo services have done that to them! We were not the only ones to lose out here, Bugs too! I tipped him an average of $50, no matter the bill amount, each time he served us and with a party of 10, I know the bill would have been up there, he would have gotten tipped over $100, and he knows it! When I arrived at the restaurant, he saw me and said hi! He had no idea what was going on at the time! I feel bad for him because he probably was expecting a nice tip from our party! Sad that the management allowed this to happen because not only does this affect your customers but it affects your wait staff!!I sent this to Corporate and it took them three days to reply. The reply was thisThank you for your email and patience. After looking into the situation, we first want to sincerely apologize for the reservation issue that occurred.After speaking with the manager, we discovered that another party with the same name, "gf name," had been seated prior to your arrival. Unfortunately, this led to a case of mistaken identity, and your reservation was mistakenly given to them. We acknowledge that the situation wasn't handled properly, and we have addressed this with upper management to ensure such an error does not happen again. Manager told us they said first and last, not just the first name and the other party arrived 2 1/2 hours ahead of our reservation! Lies Lies LiesBeware if you reserve the private room!

Nice happy hour on the 4th of July. Strawberry Margaritas were ice cold along with the spicy green & red salsa with chips. The service was excellent today. The bar seating was nice with full view of sports on all the tv's.

Been really liking this place, but it has been changing in the past year. Seems like managers are changed way more often here than everywhere else. Had a great waiter name Chris then they let him go. Food has been hit or miss lately also. Today we had the worst service here we have ever had. Had to ask over and over for chips, tortillas etc. if he (Gilbert) would have spent less time on his phone maybe he could wait on customers. Female manager seemed to be clueless about restraint operations. When there is a customer that is disabled and falls on floor a manager in most cases would have been right there, not her 10 min later she finally showed up. Sorry , but this will be last time here until owners decide to start retaining competent people. When you pay good you get good help!

I can't comment on the food. I arrived at 4:00 PM. There were only two occupied tables in the place and I had to seat myself as the employees were standing around the kitchen door visiting. Several employees walked by my table about 5 times without even looking at me. After 15 minutes, I got up to leave and asked to speak to the manager. I guess he couldn't be bothered either as he never showed up after 5 minutes. I went to Las Palapas across the street and had a great meal with great service for $5 less.

$12 for two rice and bean tacos. Usually the cheapest taco you can get anywhere - $2.50 at most anywhere else in town. Not only did the manager not fix the price, but then said he has never heard of rice and bean tacos? Hello!! What a idiot. Do not waste your money on this place there are way better options with competent managers

This was the best experience at any authentic Tex-mex restaurant I've ever been to, and it's all thanks to Becca. I can't tell if she missed her calling as a stand up comedian, but she's pretty wonderful and entertaining, and a diligent and attentive sever as well. I would come back just for her alone but the Jumbo Margaritas also helped as wellllllll

We visit Casa Garcia on a regular basis. Most of the time it's ok. However, this evening was definitely not good. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup like I have many times before. Part of the chicken was cooked, but the other piece was very pink and the texture wasn't right. My waitress insisted that it was due to the tortilla strips "discoloring" the chicken, but that wasn't the case at all and started to argue with me . No need to argue. Pink, uncooked mushy chicken is gross . I was offered a new bowl of tortilla soup, but I declined. They did end up not charging me, but decent customer service could have gone a lot farther and I probably won't be back for a while, if ever.
