Captains Quarters Inn

So we were welcomed with some live roach a couple of times during our stay. The TV remote wasn't working. There were wires on the floor and visible cracks on floor and shower wall. It seems like it got worse from the last time we stayed which was about a year ago. Would not recommend.

We stayed here last night after a last minute decision to spend the night on the island and it was a simple, nice clean motel, had comfy beds and they offered breakfast as well. The price was right too Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We were on a budget for this trip and I was a little apprehensive booking a cheaper motel to stay in, but we loved it! Rooms were clean, they had crisp white sheets and fluffy pillows, nice big bathroom with a large walk in shower. We did have a little trouble with getting our key cards to work and I could tell they were slammed (we arrived on a Sunday when they had a ton of checkouts and were short staffed) and they still managed to get us in early and were SO friendly! We went into the front office several times and both night and daytime staff were so pleasant and helpful. Beach was about a five minute golf cart ride from us! Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Stayed here for a week wasn't impressed with the breakfast bar, the rooms were okay there is some Indian dude walking around all the time acting like we were doing something wrong by being there even though we were paying customers.honestly Not impressed with the management of this hotel or the girls at the front desk they all dress like they are going to the gym and look dirtyFrom my understanding they also fired someone for having a disability.Don not recommend this hotel at all.

If I could give a 1/2 a star I would. Disgusting. We were in Port Aransas for a graduation and stayed here. Pictures online were ok, I knew we weren't staying at a 5 star hotel but it was just for 2 nights BUT once we arrived it was nothing like the pictures. Our room was disgusting, the counter where the microwave was, was disgusting. We had no towels, we went to ask for towels and they handed us one of each (bath, hand and washcloth). I said there's two us, she didn't respond. I went to turn on the tv and it didn't work, I went up to the lobby and reported it, was told she will come look at it, because it might just need tweaking....lol Front desk did come with her child to the room and brought batteries for the control and it still didn't work. So she manually turned it on and the screen was a PURPLE tint. I said are you serious, she replied it was an old tv.The next morning we saw the cleaning lady and handed her our set of towels and asked for some more towels, she said they were being washed. Ok, no worries I'll grab some later, later I go and asked for towels and was rudely told you give her your towels well give you clean towels, I explained we handed our towels to the cleaning person and she then slammed her pen on the counter and goes to the back yelling for some towels, brings them to me rolls her eyes and repeated I'll get clean towels once I bring these back......lol Fire alarm was broken, walls were dirty. DISGUSTING!!!!

Every time I have stayed here it has never disappointed me. Smack dab of the middle of the island. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Room was not ready when we got there. Tv controllers were broken. Bed sheets had crumbs. Over use of bleach smell . Blinders we're broken and therefore had to put towels up to cover the windows. You had to pull the door really hard for it to shut. Pool was cloudy and small .

We've stayed here several times. They've upgraded the rooms a bit and are expanding but I'm not sure we will stay here again. Several reasons:1) phone was broken and not working 2) door wouldn't close and lock properly without extreme care to do so 3) bathtub was slick! Yikes!4) sink had something nasty in the drain that my guy cleaned out - not sure what. 5) they allowed the construction guys to start work on Sunday morning at 8am with loud heavy equipment and Jack hammers. 6) the folks above us were loud and constantly stomping back and forth across the floor. We called front desk and they said they'd call them but if it didn't stop in 30-45 minutes, to call again. It didn't stop. It started at 7am with someone beating on the door to the room above us for about 5 minutes and continued until 9am. Horrible experience. I'm glad to see them with customers and expansion but Sunday morning shouldn't have started like it did. My take is they didn't really care. Sadly.

We tried it and we will never stay here again ever. We booked a room back in March for this past weekend through their website. On April 1st I received an email saying that my reservation had been canceled. I called and asked why and was told that their system had a "glitch" and that all their reservations had been wiped out. I would need to make a new reservation. That the new rate was over $75.00 more per night going from 125.00 to 209.00 a night. I asked if they would honor the original rate and was told no that they would not. I asked if I could email them showing the original rate and they said that they still would not honor the old rate. We called around to other hotels that were either already sold out or were still higher priced than the 209.00 a night. So we went ahead and made reservations. We arrived on Thursday 6/1/23 and stayed until 6/4/23. Check-in was easy but the person behind the counter acted as if we were a bother to her while she was on her cell phone. We get to the room and the room is what it is a bed, a tv, and a small table. The room appeared clean so we unloaded our vehicle and went to the beach when we got back we started looking around and the shower had not been cleaned properly, we found a towel and washcloth on the back of the door, and the shower curtain appeared to have mildew all over the bottom of it due to the constantly dripping shower head. We get up the next day and head out to the beach we spend all day there and come back to our room and find that it had not been made up ( which is fine) but more importantly we did not have clean towels or washcloths to use. I went down to the front desk to ask for clean washcloths and was told that they did not have any available, but that she would look. The front desk person found two and gave them to me. Next day the exact same thing no clean towels or washcloths. We have to go back down to the front desk and ask for more. While we are packing out to head home we find what appeared to be dried blood on the wall near the bathroom. We will for sure not be staying at the Captain's Quarters Inn again.

There is absolutely nothing bad I can say about this place ! My boyfriend and I drove from San Antonio to port aransas for the weekend and stayed here. First of all the location was great, close to the beach, stores, and restaurants! Breakfast was good... waffles, cereal, toast, coffee, etc! We had problems with our air conditioning in our room and called the front desk , the lady was so helpful! About 30 minutes after they came to check it they told us it couldn't be fixed that night so they gave us a new room ! The service overall was great ! Would definitely recommend this place !
