Calacas Tacos & Beer - Opening Soon

Tacos and Beer! What else needs to be said. We were in from out of town. Me from Portland, Oregon, and my co-workers from DC. We asked our hosts for a recommendation...Tacos and Beer. Sold. We arrived and the hostess sat us at the last available table...facing the window. We promptly ordered beers and scanned the menu. We grabbed Charro Beans and chips. Then proceeded to order tacos...so many to choose from. Two of us ordered the QUESABIRRIA tacos. One ordered the PIBIL. Everything's tasted amazing. Now, back to the window. While we were eating, more and more people showed up...and waited outside for seating. We felt we were on display or being scorned for taking to long, but we were enjoying our food...and the show.

The service was very friendly! The chips were quite tasty but the tacos were extremely greasy! Whenever we go again we will opt for the street tacos. Great place to grab lunch while the Tesla charged!

Came in and were immediately serviced. Cute little spot, nice ambience to it. Got street tacos and tostado tinga. It was delicious and the price was very reasonable. Their salsa are all packed with flavor. Recommend to all who enjoy a nice street taco

There are several restaurants in this small plaza. Likely I'll try a couple there in the future. Calacas seems to be a small chain ( I realized later in driving around). This location was fairly new, as one employee took my photo as the "first to use the umbrellas" on the small patio out front. I ordered the ceviche and one each of the street tacos. The 5 tacos came out first and I wolfed them down. 1 was good, and the other 4 were excellent. I did not keep track of which was which, but one had crunchies in it. The green sauce which accompanied the tacos was appropriately spicy. The ceviche was huge for $10, with a whole plate of nachos to go with it. It was not too spicy, but I added the leftover green sauce to spice it up. This was exactly what I wanted after a long day of work.

This food is so good this place is always packed. That should be enough said. Prices are average indoor and outdoor seating. Good and fast service.

We have tried multiple places here after moving from the West coast and this place is the closest to what we were looking for. Their drinks were tasty and they dress them up with candy on top, my kids loved it. I ordered something and unfortaunetly I can't remeber what it was but be sure to ask what kind of meat it is ahead of time. I did not like it but luckily my husband ordered the birria and traded with me. The inside is painted with art and so cute. We would eat here again.

I didn't get any pictures of the place but it was nicely decorated to give off the impression of street style in Mexico. There was only one waiter but he was friendly despite all the other tables he had while we were there.The limonadas were okay IMO, but both my sisters really enjoyed them so it all depends on your own taste. The guac was a solid 3/5, nothing too out of the ordinary but it was enjoyable. The tacos were really yummy and the salsa had the perfect kick to it! The tostada was also good but it had a little too much crema for my liking. The star of the show for me were the quesabirria tacos, and that's cause I'm not even a fan of birria tacos. I'd go back just for these since they were so good! A 5/5 and I recommend you give them a try when you go!

Friendly, casual place.Inspiring and interesting selection of Tacos. They have a nice Patio.

The tacos were really good filled with meat , only part that was kinda dissatisfying was that they had no more red salsa to go with it, but they gave plenty of limes and green salsa in the to go bag , also got quesobirria for my toddlers and it was delicious ! Will be back .
