"I've been going to Garcia's since I was a teenager and it NEVER disappoints. The food is incredibly simple Mexican dishes done REALLY well. If you come in expecting anything else, you'll be disappointed, but I never am. I love the salsa! Always getting lots of chips and salsa refills. The crunchy taco plate is usually my go to, but last time I tried the Combo Plate and I think it's my new favorite. Service is pretty good, but it gets busy so just have to keep that in mind. And it's super laidback atmosphere. Very casual which I love! Plus you really can't beat the prices!!"

"Food - I got the 5 taco sampler (Sampler Plus) which turned out to be a good amount of food. I was pretty stuffed after. Taco-wise, I started on the right and made my way left. Loved the first 3 that I tried - I think it was their El Plebe Taco, Barbacoa, and Al Pastor. The other 2 were a bit too peppery for me. All the salsas were good. Fair warning, the red creamy one has some fire to it. Service - The servers were attentive. I had one spoke in English and another only in Spanish. They made sure to check on me from time to time. Ambiance - I sat outside right in front of the food truck. It was nice and casual. It's a plus that they have clean restrooms. Location - I'm not from the area but I was in central McAllen and this place seem to be in the general vicinity. Parking was good but I was also there on a weekday. I think I read somewhere it can get pretty packed on a weekend so plan accordingly. Overall good. It got me curious enough to want to try other things on their menu and bring my husband back to try too. I'm in between a 4 and 5. Rounding up."

The menu was a little different from what we're used to back home, so we had a lot of questions. She never made us feel rushed and took her time to make sure we got exactly what we wanted.And wow--the food was outstanding! Every dollar not spent on decor is clearly invested in the food, and it shows. The breakfast tacos were delicious, reasonably priced, and the perfect way to start the day. The woman at the counter recommended her favorite, the carne asada breakfast taco, and let me tell you--it did not disappoint. The carne asada was perfectly seasoned, and the salsa had just the right amount of kick to tie it all together.It's the kind of no-frills spot where you know the food is going to be amazing--and it delivers. "I was feeling lazy and didn't want to cook breakfast for my tribe so I drove down the street to get some kolaches and donuts. The selection of donuts in this place is great. Everything from large and fluffy cinnamon buns, regular donuts, bear claws, and all their sweet cousins is in the case. My son gave good ratings for the cinnamon roll. My 4 year old loved the chocolate muffin I got her. My oldest and my husband wanted kolaches. The way my husband talks about these things makes him sound like a love struck boy pining for his crush. He described them as heavenly with soft bread on the outside and beautiful spicy jalapeno sausage enveloped in cheese on the inside. He was not wrong. I had the Boudin Kolache which was I would get again. I thought it might be mushy because of the rice but let me tell you it was not. It had just the right amount of moisture to make the sausage sing but not make the bread soggy. Just lovely. I will definitely be back."

It was fresh and tasty and came with large tostado shells. The food was delicious, authentic and came out within 10 minutes of ordering on a pretty busy Saturday. "Let me first of all start by saying that the food here is pretty decent, but the customer service and staff here could use a significant improvement. My GF and I did a call ahead order for 2 bistec tacos since the lady on the phone mentioned that the chicken tacos would be a 30-minute wait, while the bistec tacos would be ready in 5 minutes. Around 15 minutes later, we parked at the parking lot and gave Container Taco Factory another call. Be warned that parking is pretty limited here and fills up quickly. The same lady answered the phone and mentioned that she was getting our order ready. I didn't mind because I understand that during pandemic times, it takes longer to get orders ready. However, over 30 minutes go by and we see other people getting their call ahead orders and they arrived much later than us. We went inside to talk with the staff and see what happened to our order. The staff mentioned that they would bring out our order soon. Another 10 minutes go by and then we finally get our order. Something that bothered me about the staff here is that they did not apologize for the delay or even provide a reason for the delay. This is probably some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will probably never come back here because of that. In regards to the food, the bistec tacos were small and flavorful. The bistec was juicy and seasoned very well. They were a pretty good value for the price and quantity that you get. Overall, if you're getting take out and have a lot of time on your hands, then this is the place to go. However, there are better taco places around that have more kind and caring customer service."

"This is the taco hole in the wall you need in your life.Want to know the stupidest thing ever? I use to work across the street when I lived in Corpus Christi and never noticed it. We were down in Corpus for a wedding, when we went to get breakfast. Ladies were nice, maybe a bit skeptical about us, cause we looked slightly overdressed, but nice. I also got the impression they mistook us for people not familiar with Mexican food and surprised when we asked for things like cilantro, onion, spicy green sauce, and my husband was able to request his tacos in Spanish.Tacos are thick and plentiful. They had your traditional ones like Al Pastor and some unique ones, but I think are more of a Corpus thing. We got Mexican cokes, because of course.Tortillas were homemade flour, so we got those, though I prefer corn tortillas. That flour stuff is all husband's influence, but sometimes they're worth it like here. People who come here, comes cause they know, or are average working people. No trendy people wanting to be seen in this dive taco place. It's not the prettiest place, but it's clean and that's what matters. Those tacos were too delicious to worry about the ugly architecture. You've got to try them. I'm sure you'll enjoy them, just like my husband and I did."

They have specialty items like duck and fig quesadillas, boudin tacos, and escargot, but also the regular stuff like bistec, pork, chicken, and brisket. They also offer a good variety of beer ($4-5) and mixed drinks ($7-8), as well as dessert such as fresh made churros (with caramel dip) and the "chaco taco," a fried chocolate taco shell with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. The churros were pretty descent fresh, but the chaco taco was just ok (more for the novelty). The food is descent (portions are a bit small), and drinks are pretty good. If you're in the area and looking for a place open a little later than other places around town, this is a cool, casual, divey place to go."
