"SOLID 5+ STARS. Took out of town visitors here for lunch. And we started with some appetizers: bobcat fries; brisket nachos; and potstickers All were huge portions and all delicious. For our main entree: a grilled cheese; a patty melt; and the bacon queso burger were chosen and all were served with fries, all were quite tasty. Our server, Lacy, was very attentive and very personable. When we return, we will definitely ask for Lacy!The vibe was chill college town hangout chic. "Posh sushi is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Laredo Texas. In fact, it's the only restaurant i recommend that offers authentic style sushi. The ambiance is very chic and sophisticated that it brightens your mood. Moreover, I ordered the fresh Nissi Roll and let me tell you, you are in for a surprise. The roll has fresh eel, avocado and other ingredients which makes this roll very fresh, spicy and tasty. The service is fast and was over please with my visit. 5 stars to you guys. -P.S. don't forget to try their Yakimeshi rice. Yum."

Flavor was mild but the interior ingredients were mushy which made the overall taste average at best. Service was good and friendly."

"Settled in the Canyon Lake area, this little spot doesn't appear to be much if you're just passing by but looks are deceiving. When you come in it has a divey feel with a bit of down home mixed in.They have live music a lot of nights and it becomes over 21 after 9pm. We decided to pop in here with our group after a long pool day for some drinks and grub.We had some of the chicken strips, a burger, pulled pork sandwich and some brisket tacos. All was devoured without a word. If no one is talking, the food must be good!The patio has some games that the kids played while the adults had a few beverages while winding down. The wait staff was attentive and very friendly. I recommend a stop if you're in the area."

"Dang! Tried Ngos for the first time today and mind blown! We ordered the Allstar stirfry with fried rice, egg roll, and an order of crab Rangoon. Holy cow! The stir fry has shrimp, beef and chicken, and PLENTY of it! The beef was absolutely delish. The chicken is solid, and the shrimp is huge! The crab Rangoon were also large and fried crispy. My husband and I ate our fill and still have enough for lunch tomorrow. One meal easily feeds 2 or 3. Great value and wonderful people."

"Went with a group of friends that wanted to do a little country dancing. Kicks is located in Angleton, TX which is approximately 50 miles south of Houston. You must be 21 years old to enter. There was a wide range of ages on a Friday night when we were there. My group had a range of 49-55 years old and we fit in comfortably. There were a few older but mostly younger than us. However, we did not feel out of place given the age mix.Kicks does have a strict dress code. It seems to be enforced because I did not see anyone dressed in a way that broke the dress code. Make sure you read their website on the dress code. The dress code includes both women and men. It also includes a ban on pocket knives of all kinds.There is live music Thurs-Sun. The sign on the door says the doors open at 8PM and entry is not allowed after 1:30AM. The band that was there when we were there played three sets. During their breaks, the dance floor was still packed while music from current country hits were piped through the speakers. There was a good mix of couples and line dancing. The floor can get really crowded but fun was still had by all. Security seemed to be present and aware at all times. I was pleasantly surprised with the lack of heavy smoke. The smoke seemed to be much heavier in the pool table area but I did not venture to the back to see that area. The dance portion of the club seemed to be relatively smoke-free. I did not see anyone smoking in the dance area. I'm not sure if it isn't allowed or if it was just coincidence on this night. Bottom line: Kicks is a fun place to kick up your heels is you like to country dance. They had a good mix of partner and line dancing. If you like to country dance, you could have a good time here."

Before leaving Dallas,the Texas Monthly cover photo caught my attention. A huge cheeseburger on the hood of a red pickup! Coincidentally,one of their recommendation runner ups for Burger worth traveling for was PIBC.As I was heading from Port Aransas to Padre Island National Seashore around lunch time,it only made sense to stop as I was passing right by.The place has a great corner location,easy parking,counter service and full bar.Comfotable booths and tables,multiple TV's and classic MTV videos playing. CheckThe cheeseburger was substantial and did the trick. Better than a fast food burger but on the expensive side . I wouldn't hesitate to drop in if you need a burger fix. Mine was overcooked so you probably need to tell them exactly how you want it when you order."

"It had been ages since we last visited Longboard, so we decided to swing by during the Harvest Moon Regatta, and wow, the views were absolutely amazing! We were just in the mood for some snacks rather than a full meal, so we ordered some shrimp nachos that really hit the spot--they were delicious! Our bartender and server, Frank, was incredible. He truly went the extra mile for us, even offering to grab some towels from the pool area since we were feeling a bit chilly. He also made a special trip to grab us a Pellegrino from the stock room. Overall, we had such a lovely time and can't wait to come back!"

"A great brunch place ! The wait was a bit long but I would say it was worth it. My visit included my family of 5. The service we received was wonderful. I was able to take picture of our meals. Warm comfort food found here. A mix of German and American cuisine. This restaurant is actually pretty small but they make it work and not crowded. Something I loved was that the syrup for my pancake came in a warm bottle and I really enjoyed that haha. I give it 4 out of 5 stars because end of service the check still has a "credit card charge" from Covid. ( bring cash if you can) It's 2024 the owner should definitely change that."

Depending on how busy it is you may seat yourself or wait to be seated. The staff is great! They are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable.My party was served by Jeremiah. He was knowledgeable about the drink and dinner menus. I went with a his drink and food recommendations. I started off with a margarita on the rocks. For dinner I had a salad to start and then I devoured the local stuffed drum with rice and veggies that he recommended. The crab mixture the drum was stuffed with was okay but the drum was seasoned and cooked to perfection! The veggies were a carrot, squash and zucchini medley cooked with the right amount if garlic.For dessert we all shared a bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Chef's kiss! I highly recommend this establishment. I would rate this in my top three restaurants to patron in CCTX for seafood!"

I was not disappointed. I ordered the machacado plate and my husband had the Huevos Albanal which the waitress said is eggs bathed in devil sauce so basically burn you're younger off hot. There was a resident tortilla lady cranking out tortillas! The food was delicious and the tortilla were fresh and hot . The place is abbot pricey. It totally worth it. Please give it a try you'll love the tortillas."

"I had a business meeting in the area, so I decided to check out a new restaurant. (New to me.) I found this restaurant tucked away in the corner of a shopping center, surrounded by a few other restaurants. I tried to compare how many people were at this restaurant vs. the others. It was hard to tell.. when I walked in, it looks a bit like a pub. Small, dark, wine on every wall, and just enough space around each table that you could easily have a wheel chair or stroller roll through. There were two waiters and a bartender managing the front. My waiter was also accepting wine deliveries, so another waitress stepped in to help. I never had to wait long to have someone stop by or look over to see if I needed anything. If you've ever seen the tv show Cheers you'll get an idea of the ambiance and service. The burger was great! Al Green is playing on the speaker as I type this. I have a new spot for a date night when I feel like driving off the island."
