"Tried a different seafood restaurant with my family this evening. The Blue Cove has a cozy and relaxed vibe to it. It is great for parties of all sizes. Depending on how busy it is you may seat yourself or wait to be seated. The staff is great! They are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable.My party was served by Jeremiah. He was knowledgeable about the drink and dinner menus. I went with a his drink and food recommendations. I started off with a margarita on the rocks. For dinner I had a salad to start and then I devoured the local stuffed drum with rice and veggies that he recommended. The crab mixture the drum was stuffed with was okay but the drum was seasoned and cooked to perfection! The veggies were a carrot, squash and zucchini medley cooked with the right amount if garlic.For dessert we all shared a bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Chef's kiss! I highly recommend this establishment. I would rate this in my top three restaurants to patron in CCTX for seafood!"

"First time here and thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The staff as a whole really seem to enjoy their work and treat customers with respect. The chips were crispy, salty and addictive. The cocktail was made with freshly squeezed juice and perfectly refreshing on a hot south Texas day. The salad was well balanced and delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection and served with an incredible mushroom sauce. Substituted the onion rings for potatoes that were rich and seasoned perfectly. The NY strip was a little fatty and tough on one end but the other end was on point. Great experience!"

Their ABLT is delicious! The Blue Balls are really good. I can't speak on the drinks, as we just order water due to the heat. The beers look cold tho... We don't have an issue with the prices. If you get "bad service" here then you are probably having a bad day and it's showing. We have had nothing but a pleasant experience, every time!! They were even super kid friendly and did everything they could to please our little picky eaters one evening. 100* for sure!"

I was not disappointed. I ordered the machacado plate and my husband had the Huevos Albanal which the waitress said is eggs bathed in devil sauce so basically burn you're younger off hot. There was a resident tortilla lady cranking out tortillas! The food was delicious and the tortilla were fresh and hot . The place is abbot pricey. It totally worth it. Please give it a try you'll love the tortillas."

I do feel border town plates tend to be on the bigger side and people get used to that. The spring rolls were pretty good, basic standard spring rolls of really good size. The peanut size was a little watery, but tasted fine. The Jasmin tea was pretty standard. The pho was solid. Good clean broth with good noodle texture and a decent amount of protein. The noodle dish was super good, with a great garlic taste. The fried rice was decent as well. Don't expect anything super fancy or out of this world. Service is fast and friendly. Giving this place a 4, simply because it's the best in Laredo."
